PANTHERS ON THE MOVE
KRIS JENKINS, DEFENSIVE TACKLE

~ Had 2.5 sacks last season and has 20.5 in 85 regular-season games. Season-high is seven ('02).

~ In five full seasons he's made three Pro Bowls.

~ He was the 44th overall selection in the second round of the 2001 draft.

What do you guys think about this guy for our DT vacancy?

The questions are really,
1. Can he be that NT?

2.Does he still have the work ethic to be effective?

3.Whats he going to cost?

Kris Jenkins is a monster. I'd love to see us take a look. For the right price he could be a nice addition. What is the right price? I have no idea.

Panthers Shopping Jenkins

After an unsteady relationship with one-time cornerstone defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, the Panthers are peddling the former Pro Bowler.

Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer reports that the Panthers are trying to trade Jenkins before a $1 million roster bonus comes due next week.

Jenkins is signed through 2009 at base salaries of $2.955 million and $3.71 million over the next two seasons, respectively.

What do you all think.

Sorry I see we already have another thread on this.....

yeah, he's great when healthy, he has been battling injuries for the last 2-3 yrs. If he would renegotiate his contract and would only cost a low round pick I would trade for him.
