Evans joins Pats

Palmbeach Post | Evans joins Patriots
Fullback Heath Evans, who was cut by the Dolphins on Oct. 23, found work Monday. Evans, once a standout at King's Academy, signed with New England.
"Everything has caught me by surprise," Evans said as he packed for his flight to Boston. "You're a starting fullback for a team for six weeks and then you get a call that they released you. You don't expect that when you're starting. To go to New England, after all that has happened the last few weeks, I'm thrilled."

New England has had injuries in its backfield, and gave Evans a workout Friday. Sunday, Patriots fullback Patrick Pass injured his hamstring, prompting the club to call Evans early Monday.

Hopefully this move will not come back to haunt us.
No doubt BB will be soliciting information from him regarding our system.

Good for him. I hope he does well.

That's a playbook-delivery signing if I ever saw one. Nothing personal against Heath, but...

i didnt even think of that. that really sucks. one good thing though, is that it looks like the fins have changed things up a bit. he could provide some tip-offs that gus does at the line.

That's the first thing I thought of. It's so blatant. I mean you have to know Evans is sour on Nick Saban for bringing down the axe on him out of nowhere and right now the Pats need all the help they can get in the division.

I think its better that he goes to new england than if it was any other team in the division. Bellicheck is already familar with sabans coaching unlike the jets and the bills who dont really know what to expect out of saban. Like someone mentioned before evans will be able to help out with some of gus's line calls and etc but i think as far as gameplanning it doesnt effect as that much.

I believe you, but can you find a link for me...need it to add to news.

Couldnt find it on PalmBeachPost.com

Did you see Patrick Pass fumble on Monday??? And every one else in that backfield... I think it actually has to do with football, with the added advantage of the playbook thingy.

Two weeks to get everything from Heath that Belicheck can. We don't have our playbook down yet to be able to do alot of adjusting. Looks like BB started the chess match. Your turn Coach Saban.
