John Madden must've creamed himself when he saw this. As for the Madden curse? I say that Favre accidentally gets hit by Madden's bus on the way to Favre's jersey retirement ceremony. :tongue:

My old boss at Gamestop said she got posters of Farve on the Madden 09 cover and I guess they announced it this morning... Nothing on the Madden site yet but I wouldn't be surprised, it's the 20th anniversary of Madden on the last chance for Farve to be on it, also it will DEFINITLY break the madden curse, hard to get hurt if you don't play!

The Madden curse will live on. Rodgers will get injured and Favre will decide to come back to help out the Packers. He did state that he wouldn't mind coming back if the Paclers needed him.

Then Favre will get injured and miss his first start in over a decade.....

Ok, maybe it's a long shot, but nothing can stand in the way of the Madden curse.

I'm surprised Farve wasn't on the cover every year due to the man crush Madden has for him.
He probably never put him on there because he didn't want to see him get hurt.

They showed it on Letterman last night when Favre was on and it looks good. Glad to see Favre finally make it on. When was the last time they've had a retired player on the cover?
