From profootballtalk.com. Glad I pay for Sunday ticket. Letssssss gooooooo fins.

With a playoff-intensity game coming on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, the Jacksonville Jaguars still are not able to sell out their home stadium.

The Jags announced Thursday that the non-premium tickets will remain unsold 72 hours before kickoff, which means that the game won't be televised locally.

Though the specific number of unsold non-premium seats isn't yet known, it wasn't close enough to prompt the Jaguars to seek an extension of the deadline.

Per Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union, the team still hopes to attract 50,000 fans for Sunday's game.  Last weekend, 42,000 and change showed up for a key AFC South contest against the Texans.

If next Thursday night's home finale against the Colts doesn't sell out, then the Jaguars should load up the truck and move to Beverly.

And the team also should send a Christmas card to 280 Park Avenue in an envelope that says, "Thanks for nothing."  It was no secret in April that the Jags would be facing smaller crowds this year, and yet the powers-that-be assigned three home games in a span of 11 days.

So that means it wont be playing on NFL redzone?
Blackedout means local right?
I will watch the whole game tho believe that :)

Fins vs Jags Blacked Out

What is probably the Jaguars biggest home game in a decade will be blacked out on local TV Sunday.

The Jaguars made it official Thursday that the game against the Miami Dolphins that will likely determine whether the Jaguars go to the playoffs will be blacked out.

The Jaguars still hope to sell about 52,000 to 53,000 tickets and to get 50,000 in the stands which would be their largest crowd of the season.

But they didn't sell enough non premium seats 72 hours before kickoff to lift the blackout. And they weren't close enough to ask for an extension.

what about orlando, that is a secondary jacksonville market?

The game will be shown in Miami, I have comcast and the guide has for Sunday at 1. It wont be shown in Jacksonville I believe.

Wow, Im kind of surprised that more people dont know the rules of NFL blackouts...

A game must be sold out within 72 hours of kickoff to be shown LOCALLY to the area its in. 75 miles to be exact. So that means the CBS affiliate in Jacksonville will NOT carry the game. The closest to Jacksonville one can probably see the game is Savannah, Tallahassee.... MAYBE Daytona. Orlando will definitely have it.

Hope that helps.
