Many if not most of us agree that we need a stud OLB to run the 3-4, But with JT and JP on the team, where do you guys see CL or VG playing next year. I really dont think the should be DEs on our team, and we already have some players in that position.(VH,RW,MR) 3-4 DE are not that hard to find.

I think that in that case , for the first time we should run a Hybryd D. This way we have on year to develop or aquire a NT + see what we are going to do with JP in the future.

2nd option: Let VG, CL or JP play inside. Which might be not a bad idea.(look at the Patriots inside LBs)

why are we picking Gholston? because he had a Mamula moment?

no thanks

I dunno because Gholston might have more potential in some eyes.

They're so similar athletically, I'm not sure how anyone can come to the conclusion that Gholston has more potential.

Long is white so he can't have more potential, don't you know this?

We all agree that they have both potential, But what happens after we pick one?

Chris Long will be the pick, and that probably signals JT leaving to play for a contender, hopefully we will get something decent for him.

Makes sense, yet I dont see us trading JT this year.

No Long ran a 4.75 while Gholston ran a 4.6. That makes a huge difference at the next level because speed is what carries you in the NFL. Without top notch speed you can't do anything. Also Gholston lifted more than Long and has a larger frame. I think they both will be good but Gholston can be better. It has nothing to do with him being white lol.

long is the complete package, he has the charisma, the talent, the upside, the strength, the athleticability, and the genes to be a top player in this league.

Ah, Long's first time was a 4.71, I remember Gholston's as 4.68 (if I'm wrong please correct me), not a big difference in one of the most overated drills they do for the NFL.

And, Long did not lift yet, so your not correct there either.

And, Long actually smoked Gholston in the 3 cone and short shuttle, two drills much more important for an OLB than bench press and the 40.

Quoting prospect Wesly Woodyard (spelling) OLB from Kentucky, he was in awe watching Chris Long do the drills.(as heard on Sirius NFL radio)

I think JT choosing "Dancing with the Stars" over the off-season workout program is a clear sign he does not intend to return to Miami, but who knows?

I'm sure Parcells is not amused.
