Wow! Is this what it comes down to after interviewing 12 candidates??? What a waste of flying miles....We are going to regret this down the road. Chan Gailey has a very boring consevative offense and he couldn't get it done in Dallas with Troy Aikman as his QB.

Mora Jr., this guy just got fired because his Falcons did so poorly this year after making some solid runs the previous years with practically a better team each following year.

I don't get it. If we were going to hire a defensive minded HC, why not go after Mike Tomlin instead of Mora Jr.

Poor piss effort in Head Coach hunting.....

WTF are we thinking????

Both are excellent candidates and you will find this out sooner rather then later.

Whatever dude, some people just aren't happy with anything. Hopefully you're not one of those people that doesn't even have a coach you really want to see here but rather just want to complain about every potential candidate. It never ceases to amaze me around here. :shakeno:

Chan Gailey has proved he could be a good head coach in the NFL unlike Mora and I would rather have an offensive mind get the HC job then MOra now that Capers is sticking around.

We better be in the hunt for Jeff Fisher next year. This organization is falling apart. Gailey looks like he's the lead candidate for Pittsburgh so its probably Mora Jr. What a letdown! The nail in the coffin will be that Mora will probably announce he's retaining Mularkey. We shouldve just gone with Capers and done away with the interviews

I rather him bring Greg Knapp and his West Coast offense WITH Matt Schaub over keeping Mullarkey. :shakeno:

Are we praying for Gailey to avoid Mora?

I am! That seems like a bad situation to me.
Why get a defensive guy when we need an offense!!!!
The guy did not do too well in Atlanta, and he is supposed to bring us back to a winning season?
Did we look at all options?
It is strange that after all is said and done, this is our finalists?

Gailey is not a bad choice and neither is Cameron IMO. I think we could have done better.

What criteria is the head office using to pick a coach? I see no similarities in any of the finalists.

I will be a fan regardless, I just feel that its not a list we imagined.

These are actually the two of the twelve candidates that actually have expereince running a team. Not to mention they've both made the playoffs before, Mora's even coached in an NFC championship game before. Its not surprising these two are our final candidates, their the only two out of the 12 that know how to handle an NFL team.

I've said it before very strongly that i've wanted Cam Cameron. But i wont be unhappy with either Gailey nor Mora.

I think Mora and his falcons would have been a force this year if the falcons offense (Which Mora really couldnt have done anything about) could only catch the ball.

Does anyone remember when Chan Gailey was the offensive coordinator here? If I'm not mistaken, he was far from great and he wasn't a good NFL head coach in Dallas. I'd rather Mora, at least he's young and brings some youth and fire.

Actually the more I hear about Gailey, the more I think he will be an OK choice. I still would have rather had Whisenhunt or Cameron, but Gailey has NFL pedigree and has been successful where ever he has been. SO if it is indeed Gailey, it mught not be our darkest hour.

Jim Moran Jr. on the other hand.......well let's just say my bill to renew NFL sunday ticket will be arriving shortly and I'll have to think a lot about renewing it if he is hired. I'd be better off sitting and watching traffic by the freeway on Sundays. Less of a chance of a tragic accident.

he might not be.

Gailey is not on Pittsburgh's list of finalists, and it's their loss. The guy is a good coach, and has had success before with the Dolphins.

Hiring Gailey is preferable over Mora.
