Good points about the supply of guards and safeties. Signing Randall and perhaps Edwards takes some of the pressure off the FO on draft day and allows us to be more flexible.

Rick Spielman ... come on down and prove your critics wrong.

The Dolphins were bashed for not tearing apart the front office and coaching staff after going 10-6 last year yet failing to make the playoffs. Spielman was promoted to GM and now runs the draft, a job that coach Dave Wannstedt held. The shift might not have been popular yet people inside the NFL applauded the move as Spielman is held in very high regard in personnel circles.
