Thanks JCane, just checked my profile and I had hidden my DOB. Now I have to wait a year to get my name in lights (or at least on FinHeaven.com)!:chuckle:
 
Happy 50th Dan.

For all who watched and respected the man.

Note; the 84 season, he broke 6 NFL passing records. Many of those records he held for YEARS and have been surpassed except this one... 5,084 single season passing yards. Also, correct me if my stats are incorrect but...

In '93 he missed almost the entire season with an Achilles tear, in Cleveland, was replaced by Mitchell and finally Bernie Kosar. The following year...

1994, wearing a special shoe, 1st game vs Patriots/Bledsoe; both had combined passing yards of 894 yards and 9 touchdowns. Dolphins won 39-35. That was the same year he beat the Jets, on the road, with the famous "fake spike" for a winning touchdown. He was named the Comeback Player of the Year and the went 10-6 that year. He passed for 4,435 yards.

I just thought it appropriate to mention just a few of these things. We all love the Dolphins but some of you may be a little young to remember "Dan The Man". And that's OK. He was just like no other to watch...

Wow...my son turns 11 today. I never knew he shared the same bday as Dan! Solid post.
