Dolphins | Harrington growing as a quarterback
Tue, 14 Nov 2006 09:35:56 -0800
Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins QB Joey Harrington is becoming more comfortable within the team's offense and is learning to minimize his mistakes on the field. "I think as he gets more knowledge and experience in what we're doing and what's expected of him, we can minimize some of the bad plays. I think that's the difference. If we continue to do that, we'll increase our chances of being successful," head coach Nick Saban said of Harrington. ''I think I'm playing more comfortable and confident,'' Harrington said following the team's Week 10 victory in which he did not throw an interception. "I am definitely playing smarter.''

i heard alot of complaining about joey...it makes me :tantrum:

Well complaining about someone is still recognition, it's just whether or not you are recognized for doing well, or recognized for doing poorly.

I t was a weird game for joey,i was very excited about his play in the first half, was smart with the football, avoiding some sacks, threw a beautiful seam route to wes and distributed the ball all over the field.

In the second half i was screaming at the tv,it actually looked like to me that he was starting to choke,it looked like he lost his confidence and was aiming balls with his motion.

IF HE CAN IMPROVE WE ARE GOING TO BE A DANGEROUS TEAM,i believe we are winning even though the joey is not playing good,,i do think he can play better and hope he does,

i said talents....that is always positive

Well I asked when had he not been recognized, to which you replied, and I commented on your reply. I wasn't basing my explanation of recognition on your post where you say talents. And you can be recognized for your lack of talent as easily as you can for your talents. So talents aren't always positive, if you lack them.

See the Patriots game and Jets games. He's always been inconsistent and extremely streaky during ball games.

Whoa There

Guys have you been watching the games???? Joey is not the good, although he has been better than usual. The two games he has won have not been even remotely because of him. Against the bears, the defense set up all of his tds, and he didn't look extremely impressive. When you force 6 turnovers, it isn't too difficult to look good. In sunday's game, he looked solid in the first half, but that didn't amount to many points. The second half he looked like the same old joey except instead of throwing picks, he threw it away which is good. This guy is not the future of our franchise unless he wins out the rest of the season. He isn't a game changer.

We are not winning because Joey has stepped up, we are winning because the defense is playing AMAZING.

We should all pay to kiss the ground that JT walks on. From the D-line to the linebackers to our great revamped secondary. Even the o-line and ronnie are stepping up. The reason we are winning is not joey, it's because the rest of the team realized that they arent gonna win unless the other team doesn't score over 10 points. We are like the Denver Broncos without record right now.

You act like if he's not starting, he walks around in street clothes all day eating ice cream or something. He may not get as many reps, but he still gets reps. He's in all the film sessions, and all the meetings. He has input, just like every other player on the team. I mean, if a back up comes into a game and does well, it must be a complete and utter anomoly(especially if they know they are starting ahead of time).

I don't know that you can really expect much consistancy from a guy coming right off the bench. He's steady making progress from game to game and he should be applauded for that. He's making an effort to better his game instead of it staying stagnant. I like that, and I expect him to continue to improve.
