Did you guys see this rookie stud WR for the broncos tonight ? He totally abused DeAngelo Hall all night long for 150 yards receiving. Royal looked Marvin Harrison like. He was spilling over with confidence and poise.. Unreal.

And goodness is he ever shifty. He looked he was on another level from all the players on the field.. Ted Ginn NEVER EVER looked anything remotely close to what this 2nd round rookie did tonight in his first NFL game.

I think Ginn will be good. But I just hate the excuses people give him.

Forget Royal, jus look at how great Cutler looked. I was so wanting him coming out in the draft that year. And when he dropped to 11th I was sure we were gonna trade up and get him. He is the real deal, there isn't another QB in the league I would rather have than Cutler, I have a man crush on the guy. He is gonna be a very special player.

Because we've had putrid play at the QB position for 9 years now. That's why. Other reasons include the fact that the offenses in Miami have largely been lousy overall, as well as the fact that the team just hasn't drafted all that many receivers. Who else has there really been other than Hagan? Chris Chambers 5 years earlier? You can count Ginn too, obviously, but he was an athlete coming out of college, not a polished wide receiver.

Royal entered a perfect storm. great QB, great coach, great offense, great line, and facing a lousy cover CB in Hall. Cutler had all night to throw the ball, and when he has that, he's deadly accurate, and Royal had it easy to get open facing Hall, while Asomugha shut down the other side of the field.

Cutler would make any WR look good. The guy was incredible tonight. He is so accurate with a very strong arm. Made me jealous to see a QB like that.

I'll give my self the rare pat on the back by saying i predicted Cutler to be BY FAR the best QB of that draft class with Vince Young second and the obscenely over rated Matt Leinart a distant third!

Well, for the most part. Nnamdi Asomugha was responsible for the bad coverage and missed tackle on Darrel Jackson's 48 yard TD.

Roundabout way to start another "Ginn sucks" thread. Are you honestly comparing the Phins to the Broncos? Sliiiight difference.

I live in Colorado, and unfortunately I have to watch and listen to Broncos and their 24/7 coverage on every radio/tv station here. I think Eddie Royal is the real deal...and nothing against Ted Ginn, Jr., but I doubt he will ever be the WR that Royal will be. Shannihan brings in guys like Rod Smith, Shannon Sharpe, etc., guys who know how to catch the ball. I think Cutler is the best QB they've had since Elway.....he still has a ways to go, but he is pretty solid. Denver was 7-9 last year....I look for them to go 9-7, or maybe 10-6.

We did. His name was Wes Welker, now he's with the enemy. Thanks Cameron regime.

Welker is not worth a 2nd or 7th round draft pick.....in fact we will probably see that this season now that Tom Brady is out. Enough with this letting Welker go argument, it was the right move then and it still is now.

I am on record around here saying this before but I will say it one more time cause it still kills me.

We should kept Ferotte, used the 2nd rd pick we gave up for daunte and traded up with it to get Cutler and we should of sighned Steve hutchingson in free agency. Those were the off season moves we needed to make that year.

TY, Nick Saban!
