Everyday I log onto the finheaven website and read thread after thread of people who claim they are Dolphin fans constantly bashing the team. I live in Baltimore, Maryland and I can tell you the people in this area believe in their team, the Ravens. It doesn't matter if Tony Banks, Chris Redman, or steve McNair is their Quarterback, that stadium will sell out and they will be on message boards saying how their team is the best there is. I see posts that cliam 9 wins at best... The Ravens were 13-3 last year and I think we compare to them very well. I just don't see how some of you can say you are Dolphin fans when all you do is bash and bash. I bleed the aqua and orange. Every weekend during the season I fly to Miami and utilize my season tickets. I feel that we have a chance to win every game we play because I think that our team is loaded with talent. We have a better defense than 98% of the NFL with players such as Zach thomas, Jason taylor, Joey Porter, Channing Crowder, Matt Roth, Travis Daniels, Jason Allen, Keith Traylor, Vonnie Holliday etc. etc. The bashers argue that Jason and Zach are getting old. Jason taylor won defensive player of the year and Zach had one of his best years leading the league in tackles. Who cares how old they are. They play, they play hard, they play with heart. the same heart that a majority of Miami Dolphin fans lack. How do you think veterans such as Jason and Zach feel ? When they were in the playoffs we couldn't even sell out a damn home playoff game.

Our team imporved as much as any otherteam in the league did this off-season.

Good post man and I couldn't agree more. I think that it all you can do is be upset with your team that it isn't even worth rooting for them. If you arrive at a point where when Miami scores and you don't celebrate but rather say, "It's about time," then why bother? I always believe the Dolphins have a chance to win every time they step on the field.

Go Dolphins, Aqua and Orange always and FOREVER! 5 stars man. :dolphins:

i think you should re-post this thread every week so people can realize how stupid theyve been acting and stop.

Alright Driscoll good post,,,,i truly believe the dolphins are gonna be good this year,i love the makeup of our team the diversity of the players and the direction were going,,,

Our team improved as much as any other team in the league this off-season. We added a superstar linebacker in Joey Porter. So what if he is 30 the guy can flat out play. Combining his pass rushing skills with that of Jason Taylors' and your defense is scary. Not to mention that Joey Porter brings intensity that this city has lacked in a long long time and leadership that is needed immensly. We improved the #4 ranked defense in the entire league. Jason Allen, our 1st round pick last year, who many of you have written of as a bust after one year of NFL experience has been switched to corner where he performed well during the mini-camps. Allen has gotten a better grasp on the defensive system and should be a contributer and maybe even a starter in our secondary for years to come. Travis Daniels comes back healthy and Matt replaces an old Kevin Carter. Youngsters like Rod Wright, Fred Evans, and Yeremiah bell have looked great and will contribute to the defense.

Was our draft because Mel kiper said we made a bad decision passing on the overrated Brady Quinn? Mel kiper doesn't know all and if he did he would get more than 6 out of 32 picks right on his mock. it goes to show that his opinion is as good as yours or mine. Our draft was amazing. In the first round we drafted Ted Ginn Jr. Ginn bring speed and explosiveness that this team has lacked; not to mention that he is a homerun hitter on offense and on special teams as the best return man walking the planet. Do you understand how much Chambers and Booker will benefit from this guy? He is faster than any and I mean any DB in the game. Ted Ginn was the biggest play maker in the entire draft. Our Second Round started by drafting John Beck who many believed was the third best QB in the draft. He is in the Drew Brees mold as he is very accurate and a student of the game. Those bashers who question his arm strength now little about football because the guy can throw the long ball. Sam Satale can play either G or C and will be an anchor on our line for years to come. lorenzo Booker was a steal and is game changer with amazing speed. He is the perfect complement to Ronnie Brown. Paul Soliai was one of the biggest steals of the draft and was graded as a first round talent by your iami Dolphins. Abraham Wright, brandon Fields, Kelvin Smith, and Drew Mormino will all make the roster and be on the team for years to come provide great depth. Free Agent Mkristo bruce was a 2nd and 3rd round pick in many of the mock drafts I read.

Bottom line be excited because the Miami dolphins are good football team. We are younger than people give us credit for and will be playoff bound in 2007. We have improved in every aspect of the game and it's time we start to believe.

:goodpost: Thanks for your intelligent assesment. I believe! (eventhough I never stopped)

Interesting because I don't see much of any posts on here saying the Phins suck (probably except for the occasional Bills/Pats or Jets fan on here). What I see is a variety of opinions as to what each fan feels is the best way (in their opinion) we can improve the team. Some are a little more far fetched than others, but hey, that's what great about being a fan. You can have your own opinion and it's OK. I think some are being a little more pragmatic about what our record might be this year than others. We were 6-10 last year. While I think we all wish we could go 13-3 like Balt did last year, it may be a stretch in just one year. The ability to question or second-guess f/a, the draft, drops, etc. is all part of being a fan. Sorry, despite what you might see or hear in Baltimore, I guarantee every team's fans question and second-guess their teams at various times. It doesn't make them less of a fan for doing so. We all want the Phins to win every game and win the superbowl. Some are blind followers and agree with everything the team does and really believe they are going undefeated all year. Others are not. We can't all fly down to Miami for the weekend to watch the games either, but that doesn't make us any less of a fan than you. While I don't always agree with everyone on this board on certain subjects, I do respect the fact that they (like I) am entitled to our opinion and always realize we are ALL Phins fans ! :D

Maybe. But I gurantee you that they sell our their playoff games. They don't doubt every move they make. The Ravens did go from 6-10 to 13-3, why can't we? Explain this to me. How is a statment like Zach thomas is old and we should cut him an exaple of constructive criticism. Sorry son, I just layed it on you.... the Smackdown

I honestly think wehave the biggest band wagon fans in sports. Stay on or get off..The run begins now. I love our draft; It's time to let the fun beGINN

One thing the Ravens have that we don't...Johnathan Ogden.

I love this team as much as anyone on here, but being a fan doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything that the team does. I'm still mad we passed on Quinn, but that doesn't mean that I am going to try to root against Ginn and Beck to try to validate my opinion.

There are generally two types of people on these boards, homers and realists. I consider myself one of the latter. Just because I think we'll wind up with another top ten pick next year doesn't mean I'm any less a fan than anyone else. I just think our QB situation is a mess, our o-line is still shaky and will need time to adjust to new positions, and our secondary is below average on a good day. I'm hoping for another perfect season, but I'm expecting another 5-8 win season.
