Last year, just one first-round draft pick was signed in the month of June -- Jason Babin of the Houston Texans. But the early signing did not hurt Babin financially. In fact, his average yearly salary is higher than two players drafted ahead of him that elected to wait until August to get their names on a contract.

Thanks nj. Ronnie is probably going to be painted with that "H" word but, it's going to be as abnormal as someone putting syrup on pancakes.
 
usually 2nd overall pick doesnt sign until after the #1 has been ink'd

Nice read thanks,I hope ronnie gets signed fast or we might see ricky.I do support ricky agian just because he helps the team.:harm:

it's not holding out......holdouts are under contract and holding out for a better deal.

I think that we all generally here have a very positive view of Ronnie, see him as humble as you've said.......I hope that view doesn't change just because he has to take care of the BUSINESS of getting the most money out of the Dolophins that he possibly can.
 
There was something about this non finheaven's front page a few days ago. In general it said that the second pick signs after the first because it acts as a guage in salaries. I don't think there'll be a problem and I'm sure Ronnie will be playing in every game.
 
Dont worry Ronnie will be in Fins uniform sooner than later.
 
What is all this, I hope he signs quickly or we might see Ricky? First of all, you will see Ricky alright, but only in the preseason, and, Ronnie will be inked by the first preseason game. Secondly, we could do alot worse than Ricky, Travis Minor and Sammy Morris come to mind. But Ricky won't be available to us until after the first few weeks, so it's not like if Ronnie's not signed, then it's all Ricky all the time.
 
why does NFL.com say:

Because of possible contract disputes.

It's a possibility, but not a probability. I think Ronnie will be there. He and his agent said they have no intention of holding up the process.

He will mostly likely not be signed yet and his agent (France) will hold him out till he gets a contract, don't worry it happens all the time.
 
alex smith needs to sign cause the 2nd pick won't sign till the 1st pick does it's just the nature of the bussiness hurry up and sign please alex.
