Ever since rodger Goddell tock command , i have been pontificating as to whether or not cam and co. should conduct a major shake down or goddell should conduct a major shakedown on players getting into trouble. over the last two weeks it seems as if our dolphin players are imitating bengals players in drag and what i am afraid is going to happen if something isnt done soon ,is we could have as many as 10 players on the list of suspended guys . So i think a major shakedown is long overdue .
item 1. could the bengals and dolphins have interstruggles and be forced to lose a draft pick if the maddness doesnt stop ? i cant see that happening but it is troubling me especialy with chambers brush with the law.

Item 2. what i would do if i had the authority is ; if a team is heading to the playoffs and two players or more get arrested , i would send that team home for the year and disqalify that team and send a big messeage to the teams that the nonsense must stop. I know it would ANGER JT AND ZT BUT then again it would entice taylor and thomas to help clean up the lockerroam. (THIS IS NOT MENT TO PUNISH THE GOOD PLAYERS BUT TO ENTICE THOSE PLAYERS TO YELL AT THE DUMB ***** THAT ARE SCREWING UP)

ITEM 3 i would probally fine each team a fine of $1.5 million and have it count against the cap and this would force the teams to get more involed . but this would be my 2 year expiment punishment to get some attention.

where does this affect the fins ? well if the fins are in 2nd place in the afc east and are playoff bound and two or more players are arrested then the fins would forfit their playoff game and this wound send a severe message 'dont screw up'

i know this wouldnt be fair to the good players but in the military good guys get hammered by the effecsts of the knuckleheads and their acts so why not try in in sports ?

Forfeit a playoff game? Because one or two knuckleheads decide to screw up? The owners of this league would NEVER go for that. I think Goodell, as of now, is doing exactly what he should be doing. Punishing the select few as needed.

damn interstruggles!!!!

I think the way the policy is set up is O.K. However what they might want to consider is suspending those players for the proper games that season and if their TEAM makes the playoffs then that player/s may not participate in the playoff run or the Super Bowl(if his team makes it).

I think forfitting a playoff game to a whole team is ridiculous. If that were to happen I will not watch another NFL game.

Military good guys don't have a union or a collective bargaining agreement.

a DWI is not gonna be anything of concern, Fred Evans is gone, Joey Porter might be something, if it is it will be something minor... tank & pac man were felon cases.. major shakedowns are for real problems..

1. Joey Porter. Joey Porter and Levi Jones have had a history long before Porter was a dolphin. and honestly, that 'fight' was really just a product of wrong place, wrong time.

2. Fred Evans. He's cut. who cares. If anything, that showed that Cam and Co. aren't going to put up with crap from anyone whose not a high profile guy. And you may say thats a problem but theres really only 5 high profile guys on this team (Taylor, Thomas, Porter, Brown, and Chambers. Although Brown and Chambers are both stretches of this.)

3. Chambers. ok, a DWI is probably the least threatening crime an nfl player could commit. I'm willing to bet there are posters on this board who have committed the same. We shouldn't be worrying about whether or not Chambers will be suspended any games for it, cause he won't. We should worry about whether or not he's gonna get himself killed driving around drunk like a moron.

No, we don't need a 'shakedown'. If Cameron were in charge of that Bengals team, atleast 5 of those 10 would have been cut.

Maybe longer suspensions or a plain and simple ban from the N.F.L.
would be more effective and not punish the whole team for one player's mistake. It seems a little much your way, the criminal's whole family dosen't need to go to jail just the one who commits the crime!!!

Worst thread ever

Not only are your proposed courses of action ludicrous but how many times does it have to be said that the new NFL conduct policy is aimed to punish REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT (sorry, just trying to drive the point home this time) offenders.

For a dwi this guy make front page on web, newspaper, let be really. half of you leave the game drunk???

just knowing what punishment that they could get now from getting into trouble should be more than enough for them not to do anything bad. some of these guys are just going to get kicked out of this league and they are screwing thier own lives up by losing out on the money that they would be recieving. im happy with what goddell is doing but its going to take time for it to fully get into effect. the league will be cleaned up and for chambers i hope he dosent get suspended but he prolly will and i will understand if he does.
