[MERGED] Jason Taylor wants out

Trade him to a good team that is willing to trade picks away to immediately upgrade their D for a shot at the Bowl. Both sides win. I would feel bad if we trade him to AZ.

I would want him traded to an NFC contender. If we trade Taylor I would want him out of the AFC East for sure, and hopefulley the entire AFC.

If it came down to it (which I honestly hope it does not) then trade him to an NFC team missing a few pieces on D that can put them over the top or back on top. Eagles, Panthers, and Skins are good canidates. How about the Vikes with already a strong run D bringing in JT as the pass rushing specialist. Maybe the Saints would trade picks (they already did to get Vilma) to get a pass rusher to help out that porous D of theirs.

lets just see what the offers are first before we continue with this crap...

The only way he would go to the Cowboys, is if all the rumors about Dallas being interested in the #1 pick are true. If they are I would like to see something like this:

Dolphins Send:
#1 pick
Jason Taylor

Cowboys Send:
#22 pick
#29 pick
Marion Barber
Marcus Spears

I'd be thrilled to be able to pull that trade off. We could still pick up a great pass rushing OLB like Quentin Groves with one of our 1st round picks and a guy like Dominique Rogers-Cromartie or Limas Sweed (if we're really lucky).

Cromartie would be good value picking in the 20s.

I can't say I blame JT since he is still young enough to make a mark on another team and he could be a real threat on a contending team. Dallas and New York are two but could you see Taylor playing opposite Freeny in Indianapolis, now that would be intimidating. It would be great to see him win a ring in the NFC.

[mod] Think before you call someone stupid. Personal attacks are not permitted here. [/mod]

Hmmm.
Behind closed doors, JT wants out, but remains hushed by his loyalty to the Miami fandom...

From the depths of the inner sanctum of Davie HQ's, Parcell's remains stymied in his efforts to parlay Taylor's market value, into much needed draft pics, opting to avoid drawing any potential ire, of his newly anointed kingdom's sentimentalists....

How bout they get a hat, have JT, BP, and WH, each write down what JT should do, put their answers in the hat, and anonymously read them.

Best two out of three, decides his fate.

I'd have been happy with a 2nd rounder for JT. A 2nd AND a 4th? I'd be ecstatic. I think that for the cowboys picking up JT makes some sense at least for the promotional value. Cowboys are a good team and with the high profile signing of Jason and Zach those seats would be filled all season long. If JT wants to go to a contender. i don't blame him. he gave his everything to this team for over a decade. he and ZT kept it together and gave the fans hope during some bleak years. let him find his ring. We all know when he gets into the hall of fame he's going in as a 'fin.

I'd hate to see him go, but I'd trade him for a 2nd rounder straight up. For this team that's a starter for our OL or CB positions at the very least. I'd jump at a 2nd and a 4th or simply the Giants' 1st. I want the Dolphins to rebuild into superbowl contenders, and it's going to take a LOT of new fresh talent to do so ... and it'll take at least 3 years minimum. By then JT will be retired and a 2nd rounder will be a nice young veteran starter.

Mabye It's True Jt?????

The Miami Herald reports Jason Taylor would like to be traded this offseason.
The Herald suggests that Miami's failure to land free agent OLB Calvin Pace makes a Taylor trade less likely, but a draft-day deal could happen if they pick UVA OLB/DE Chris Long No. 1 overall. Taylor reportedly wants to play on a contender. In the end, the odds seemingly favor a trade being worked out.
