Merged: Jets to switch with lions maybe?

The jets were looking at Calvin Johnson or Adrian Peterson. Likely not Peterson anymore since they got Thomas Jones.
 
Vilma is good but I just don't see him and a #25 pick worth giving up a chance at CJ or a LT like Thomas which are two potential Pro Bowlers for the next 10 years. To me I would make the Jet's throw in at least their 2nd or 3rd rounder.
 
I would think Quinn, they just gave Cotchery a big deal, and have Coles, so dont know about getting Johnson. Just picked up Jones so Peterson you would think would be out, unless peterson is to Jones like Benson was. They got D'Brick last year, so Thomas should be out. The only thing I could see would be whoever is left for QB after the Raiders are done.
 
Jets thinking about trading up

Who could they be targeting ? Why in the hell would the Lions want to move down that far ?


The Journal News is reporting there were unconfirmed rumors that the Jets were thinking of swapping their first pick, 25th overall, and a defensive starter, to the Lions for the second overall pick.

We have to assume the 'defensive starter' is linebacker Jonathan Vilma as his name has been the subject of many trade rumors the last few weeks.

Jets can't really be looking at OL or WR. That move wouldn't make sense.
 
yea i think its for quinn MAYBE.
