Didn't he make some poor remarks regarding Ricky Williams after he left the team also? At least he's consistent.
 
What's the matter, Jim? Not in the news enough? I don't think anything this guy says can be taken very seriously. He seems to be a desperate man who will say anything for attention (the whole Pittsburgh thing). Odds are that he is the next coach fired.

I definitely thought he was going to be fired in the middle of last season until the Saints got on fire and won a ton of games to finish strong. I bet they have the same kind of season. Start of slow then finish strong but not good enough to make the playoffs.
 
The fact that Jim Haslett rips Tebucky Jones, is very promising for us.....Haslett is a joke, I really believe that his worst then pornstache.

Jim Haslett? Who the f__k is Jim Haslett? The guy come from the cloth as Dave Wannstedt, Rich Kotite, Barry Switzer and Leeman Bennett. New Orleans has underachieved every single year he has been in town and will be fired after this season. The guy is a straight up *** clown.

Yeah I second that. Haslett is a jerk. This stuff that he's always flapping his gums about is never any of his business.
 
There are rumors that the Saints are the leading candidate for a move to LA.

If thats true the Saints owner doesnt want to make any long term commitments which is probably why he is retaining Haslett as HC.

His coaching talents have been underwhelming.
 
Belichick thought Jones was good enough to place the franchise tag upon him just two years ago.

Notice Haslett didn't say anything about his speed, which is a big reason they traded for him (3rd and 7th in 2003, 4th in 2004) and got rid of Sammy Knight. That bodes well for us, assuming he does have a decent nose for the ball. But even in New England, he had a reputation for being inconsistent at times.

Still, I'm curious to see the effect that switching from FS to SS will have on his play. Jones was been a FS in NE and NO. But Saban feels this is his position. And I tend to agree.

I always liked the guy in NE. Thought he was one of the better safeties in the league. And he sure could hit. I can't wait to see him roaming around in Saban's D.
 
No coach should say that stuff after a player leaves. I don't ever remember Shula saying something like that during his time. Have some class.

This is where those kind of comments should come up.... as for Jones, he looks to be about average from what I have seen of him IMHO. He was a "need" pickup.

One of the top offenses on paper, they constantly underachieve and find a way to lose. With guys like Joe Horn, Aaron Brooks, and Deuce Mcalister how do you not score on a single opening drive? They scored less points in the first quarter than anyone else.
As much as people talk about the fins, we were better coached with an interim than the saints with Haslett.
