Well as cuts go on the chicago bears look like they might be cutting all-pro linebacker lance briggs and veteran running back thomas jone and i think that briggs would be a great adition since it doesnt look like the chargers are cutting donnie edwards,Briggs might be looking for more money than edwards would of probably because hes better but anyway wat do u guys think ???

(+ thomas jones would be a nice addition but it looks like he might be looking for a little too much and wishes to be a starter ..deservingly so but thats not gonna happen with ronnie here)

and the Pats are holding on to 10 mil of cap room...hmmmm, wonder if they are waiting for some good people to become available.

doubt that they'll cut the pro bowl LB...not likely at all..they'll keep him..guarantee it....btw do you have a link with that info or is that just something you conjured up? or heard through the grape vine? im curious to know....if its true..im just hopin its not bogus thats all im sayin....

Da Bears are fine with their salary cap, I don't think they will be cut.

i don´t see any chance how they cut a young Pro Bowl LB that is just getting in his prime

he's not getting cut, the Bears are currently working on extending his contract. You don't cut a 25 year old pro bowl linebacker.

While you are at it, maybe we can sign Peyton Manning as our second stringer when Indy cuts him. Or maybe Ladinian Tomlinson to back Ronnie up because the Chargers are bored with him.

Briggs isn't going anywhere. He and Drew Rosenhaus have been trying to get a new contract, since Briggs is only making $722K. He was at practice but was temporarily demoted because he'd stayed away from other team-related activities.

Next time, post a link or at least tell us where you got your info. In this case, I don't think you have anything like that. So I'm closing the thread.

Lance Briggs to join Dolphins?

• Two friends of Lance Briggs say the Bears' Pro Bowl linebacker has interest in joining the Dolphins next spring if Chicago doesn't satisfy his contract requests. The Dolphins need another impact linebacker to maximize their part-time use of the 3-4 defense. But even if the Bears allow Briggs to test the market, the Dolphins might need to spend most of their money on offensive linemen.
