With Ashante possible signing with Philly that puts Ashante on the trade block for all puposes (NFL Network) I have watched him over the last few years here in Philly and even with his injury situation over the last 2 years he would be a NICE fit for our defense and he's better than what we have.

Might be a good option for us on D..

What would you give for him?

would rather draft one, but since i love him, i would take him.

I'm a clost eagles fan and really like Lito's game. I would definitely give up a 3rd for him, maybe even a 2nd, but not #32 overall.

If they are getting Samuels they would have to get rid for either sheppard or brown with the money samuels is gonna get and i would take either one.

LITO HAS BEEN BENCHED
In the offseason, NFL teams don't spend much time updating their depth charts.
But sometimes, they do.
As a reader has pointed out, the Eagles already have revised their on-line to show Asante Samuel as the first-string left cornerback -- and Lito Sheppard as a second-string player. There are reports that the Eagles will try to trade Sheppard.
Despite rumors that right cornerback Sheldon Brown will move to safety, he's still listed as the starter at right cornerback.

thoughts on trying to get him

26 year old pro bowler being pushed out the door... i say give them a 3rd rounder and they would do it

Id welcome him. Although I think he may have a bit of the injury bug, right?

Actually, I know he is a very very corner, but he has never played a full season.

We have enough injury issues I think. Looks like we will take some secondary spots in the draft and let Bowles and Co. teach them up.

Lito Sheppard

After th Eaagles aquisition of Asante Samule, reports are that the Eagles are going to trade 26 year old CB Lito Sheppard. Anyone think the Dolphins will try to get him and if he would bea good fit here?

He would be a great fit especially since we still need a cb as a starter.

I think that he would be a great fit, BUT I don't think that Parcells will make a run at him, especially with such a corner-rich draft. There will be a top flight corner at 32.

The only exception to that would be if we are targeting Flacco at 32 as rumored.

I think we should get him..after we get our FA's we will trade so many players for picks it won't even be funny. I would not mind giving like a 2nd or 3rd for him because he is a great corner which is what we need.
