It could hurt em big time...

Talib more than Manningham... Hopefully he falls to us @ 32.. Talib would be a steal @ 32

I was thinking the same thing, until I read in the article that he tested postivie 3 times... I just don't know if it's worth it... I mean look at what's happened with people who have off-field issues lately... like Ricky, or Pacman for that matter.

Someone will take a chance I'm sure, but I'm not sure I want the 'Phins to after reading that article.

oh wow 3 times !

yea i didnt read the article but 3 times is 2 times to much for me... Id rather roll the dice and get James Hardy or Kenny Phillips if they are there

I find this as a positive for the Dolphins.
Maybe Talib falls to us at pick 32?

IMO, the only person this is good for is DRC.
He'll likely move up a few spots now, and get more money. I think if hurts the 'Phins... there was already a 90%+ chance I'd say that he was gone by #32, now I'd say it's 100%. What about other players? If everyone is concerned with Talib and he falls out of the first few rounds, everyone moves up one... and that means we could miss out on a player like Groves or someone else at #32 who might just go a spot earlier now before we get the chance to take them.

It hurts Talib because he drops WAY down I think, and it hurts what ever team takes a chance on him because as history shows, people rarely change. I'm all about giving second chances, but Fourth is close to pushing it. You think the Titans are stoked that they took a chance on Pacman?

My first reaction to this was no big deal, so they've smoked pot while in college. But when you read that they tested positive multiple times, that is concerning to me. Both of these guys have been great players in college for a few years now, and had to have known that a future in the NFL was ahead of them in all likelihood. If they are dumb enough to keep doing in with that in mind, who knows what other bad decisions they could make with millions of dollars in their pockets.

If all this was discovered at the combine (or shortly after), why has it been such a great secret until now ? Also, anyone know the NCAA rules on positive drug tests in college. If they failed 2-3 drug tests, were there not penalties for this. I can't imagine there were not any penalties if that were true. Why does this seem like pre-draft "rumors" to possibly get some guys to fall to teams picks ?

cuz it's a smoke screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mmm hot box

The thing that worries me isn't the fact that they smoke pot, its the fact that they've gotten caught multiple times for failing drug tests. If you were atleat smart about smoking weed you could find ways to get away with it.

I don't know why someone would admit to using drugs... 3 times no less... , in hopes of falling down the draft board and making less money, but whatever works for them...

I don't know but yeah, I'm amazed that he was never disciplined while at KU if the officials knew about it. So the more I think about it, the more it makes me wonder.

IMO it won't hurt Talib. He'll still be a top 10 pick.

Manningham lied about it, he will be the one feeling the pain.

Gaines Adams admitted to it and still went 4th overall. I still see Talib going to the Patriots
