MERGED: Mare: Worn out his Welcome?

Except for Archuletta,I would take all the players on the list. Mare hasn't performed well on field goals and I am sure once he gets his stroke back, he will be dependable again. he still leads the league in touchbacks, so he has plenty of leg strength.
 
Mare is one of the best kick off merchants in the game. I think we should look at keeping him at a lower rate of pay.
 
I think Mare is sill a good kicker but do you think this is his last year a fin.
 
I hope not, it's so hard to find quality kickers in the NFL. Maybe he's in a slump, and he does make good change. But this guy has alot of Miami Dolphins kicking records, and may be the best kicker in dolphins history.

He'll never agree to that. As far as he's concerned, he is worth that money and one of the best kickers. I bet some other team will give him a figure close to what we're paying him right now.

If he aint willing to renegotiate then we have to consider letting him go.

Letting him go will be tough. I mean finding a great replacement, unless there is a stud kicker in the draft. I just hope that he takes a cut and we don't have to worry about it.

Mare needs to go. 60% on field goals is ridiculous. I am sick of him choking short kicks. I can deal with the misses from 52, but it's the 35 yarders that really make me throw things.

I know it's tough to see. But he only missed 1 FG last game. Trying to be optimistic.:D

I think he will be clutch the rest of the way out. Hope I am not asking too much.
