Matt Jones in 2nd round !!

If the Dolphins could somehow get a really early 2nd round pick this guy would be unbelievable as our 2nd WR. He's bigger and faster than Mike Williams and Braylon Edwards and he might even have better hands than both of them. Look what new Dolphin Coach had to say about him......

For the past four years, SEC coaches and defenders have marveled at Jones' freakish ability to make plays – his 2,545 rushing yards set an SEC career mark for quarterbacks.

"He was the best player in the SEC the past two years," said Ron Zook, the ex-Florida coach now at Illinois. "Now that's a mouthful. Think about the guys who have played in the SEC the past couple of years."

Quickly, the names of Auburn's Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams, among so many others, leaped into my mind. The SEC is loaded with NFL-caliber players. LSU coach Nick Saban said, "Matt Jones single-handedly won more games than any player in the SEC."

You actually think matt jones will be available in the 2nd he is possibly the best athlete it the whole draft ?

oh please, will you folks stop with that nonsense!

FIRST EVER GUY to run a 4.37 being Six Foot Six Inches. Yeah, u can make the argument thats he's the most athletic guy in the draft.

Matt Jones: WR or TE?

Matt Jones is gonna be a high pick but do you think that he'll become a WR or a TE in the NFL?

Definitely a WR. He's got the speed and burst for it, clearly. He'll be as deceiving as a WR as Easy Ed McCaffrey, and will probably be even better than Easy Ed use to be.

As per Mortenson's glowing report, he also ran one of the fastest 10 yard splits of anyone in the draft.

That guy is going to be an unstoppable WR. You watch. It will be like watching the white Randy Moss. He will constantly fool defenders with his body language which makes it seem like he's not running hard or fast, and they'll take what they deem to be "good angles" and will come up short. What corner could go up against him and keep up with both his speed and his height?

Ed McCaffrey???? C'mon this guy will own McCaffrey in terms of athletic ability. Ed was a really reliable WR with great hands. But this guy is 6'6 and he's tearing up 4.37's in the 40 yard. UNBELIEVABLE

Ed was pretty fast too, but what use to be a great asset for Ed was how deceptive his speed was. Joey Galloway use to be like that too. Nice loooong strides, use to say that you could put a glass of water on top of Galloway's head while he was running and you wouldn't spill a drop. That's deception, makes it hard for any but the best CBs to get a real live beat on his speed. So, they always have to respect him deep, and then guess what at 6'6" he'd probably own the short areas because he could outjump and outmuscle everyone.
