my three concerns

I know i have ruffled some feathers around here and i am sorry for that . i am a believer that we should look at the pros and cons of our team and compare note instead of bashing each other over our own opinions , the truth is we have guys that should be producing more plays on the field then what they do. when I see a player who is playing well i will give him praise and when i see a player not living up to where he should be playing then i will critizise or comment on him.
dolphin fans we all have been blowing smoke up each other's caboses we realy dont know what we have as far as talent on offense. what angers me is the fact our draft picks from wannys erra are dissapearing faster then the national surplus that has vanished.
my expectations are for ronnie to rush for a 1200 yards . I expect our oline not to get our qb killed.
i also expect our wide receivers to catch the ball and put up good numbers.
so if we can score more then 24 points a game then we will have a great season .
in summery ,
ronnie needs to rush for 1200 yards.
our wrs need to put up better numbers.
our oline needs to really step it up.

i dont care what anyone says my number 1 concern is green

I think that is a pretty obvious statement. I'm not sure what type of response your looking for from your post.

My top 3 concerns/ worries going into the year...

3. QB Play-- specifically how well Green plays

2. Secondary-- Our secondary is shaky and Goodman, who was our best corner, is injured. Will these guys step up? Can our front 7 create enough pressure to hide them?

1. O-line-- My biggest concern by far. They will determine what we get out of Ronnie, Green, our recievers. New starter at every single position doesn't inspire confidence, even if we are now very well coached on that side of the ball. I think they'll be fine by midseason. How they start off will be the difference in us having a chance at the playoffs or looking at another top 10 pick.

don't be afraid of speaking your mind. your concerns are welcome. don't let the mods or anybody else here try to intimidate you from telling it like you see it. i believe you are completely right.

My main concerns are the Offensive line and the secondary. Not everyteam can win with crap DBs behind their front 7 and that was obviously proven last year. We got bombed on by so many teams last year it's not even funny. Will Allen is a #2 on any other team but ours and our secondary has solid but no playmaking CBs. The offensive line is and has been abismal for a while now and we need to get some production out of the big uglies to go anywhere this year.

Since Ronnie was on pace for 1200 yards last year behind a so-so line, I would reverse it a little and make our O-Line #1. That helps solve other problems. Good Oline, means better running for Ronnie, better protection for Green. Both of which means better production out of our WRs.

does anone agree with me that chambers and ronnie should have a much better season ? i think chambers needs to focus more and he should be better . if our wrs have a bad year will cam look at drafting another wr next year ? man i wish we could surprise people this year and go 13- and 3 and get to the big game .

fellows i am suffering from wannyisum and i need a heavy dose of wining from the boys in aqua.:tantrum::beer1:

Mine are a little different from peoples

Health along the Front 7---this is the strength of this team. If anyone of these guys (Taylor, Thomas, Porter, Holliday, or Traylor) go down for an extended period of time 4-6 games, then I can't see how this team can combat that.

O-Line play out of the gate---I'm not worried about the Oline play from Week 8 on...I think we've seen from the past 2 years that things start to get better there. What I want to see is these guys playing decent from the onset of the season. If they don't play well, Trent Green won't play well, Ronnie Brown won't play well, and the offense will suffer as a whole. Too many good things from this offense ride on the play of these 5 guys.

Kicking Game (FGs and Punts)---We have a new punter. Field position will be really important for us. Also, we've lost some close games the past few years because of an inability to kick FGs. We have to get close and make them when we have the opportunity.

I think Ronnie will have his best year and I think Chris bounces back. While they certainly werent probowlers last year, I just think we have bigger weaknesses than those guys--namely o-line and secondary.

Health is certainly one of the hugest determinates of success. I don't list it because outside of trying to have depth, you cant really do much other than roll the dice in terms of injury. Its impossible to have star quality backups across the board.

Fully agree on the o-line, especially early on. As I posted above, that is by far my #1 issue.

I'm actually optimistic on special teams though it really could go either way. I think Ginn brings a new dimension to our return game so that should be an improvement. Wes was good, but Ginn has breakaway speed and great quickness/instincts. Mare comes off of 3 straight poor years so I think FG kicking is at worst, a wash. Kickoffs could be an issue. I'm hoping fields will kick off and that strong leg results in a lot of touch backs. I do think we're likely to a dropp off in punting. Donnie Jones did a great job and it might take fields a little time to work on his technique and accuracy. Of course, he had the same knocks Fields did and did well pretty much from the start. Overall, I think its a wash but theres potential to really improve.

O Line has been a concern of since before we drafted Carey. It seems to be improving year after year, but I'm not happy with the pace of the improvements. Once the oline improves, the qb will have more time to throw, the WRs will have more time to run their routes, the RBs will be able to have holes and rush the ball...
To me the biggest key is the oline.
Then the secondary

I'm not worried about the return game. Between Ginn, Hakim (if he's on the roster), Booker, and maybe somebody else, I think we'll be good there. If Ginn stays healthy I think we'll be very good and better than we've ever had here. My concern is just making FGs, field position off of KOs (no booming Mare leg) and field position from punts (no great net avg from Donnie).

Your three concerns.

Ronnie running more than 1200.
-
We no longer have an incompetent play-caller anymore, so Ronnie should see at least 3-4 more carries a game. (AT LEAST) and 3-4 more carries is like 10-20 more yards a game. (hopefully) and over a 16 game season, thats 160-320 more yards than last year. So this shouldn't be too hard to reach.

WR's need better numbers
-Yes, yes they do. And i think they will with Green at QB. If nothign else in his career, he's been able to spread the ball around. He's never worked with a talented receiving core like this one so im excited to see what he can do. Also, its vice versa for the receiving core. No, Green isn't the most talented QB they've ever worked with, but atleas they know he'll be the starter day 1.

O-line stepping it up.
-
This is anyones guess. I'm just thrilled to see us starting some rookies instead of failing miserably with has-been veterans on the o line like bennie anderson or jeno james.
