Merged:Miami interested in David Givens/ Givens to Miami

I firmly on board this bandwagon. I'd rather see Givens come here than T.O. He'll come at a reasonable price, damage the Patriots, and be an upgrade to Booker.
 
givens is young and has never had anything bad said about him, this is old news tho but i feel nick will bring in another WR to help whoever is throwing the ball
 
I know it'll all come down to $$$, but can you just imagine what would go through Given's mind if the Phins signed him? Going from Brady to Frerotte? Yowsa!! :eek:

what happens if givens comes here, and TO goes to the Pats that would suck!!!
 
Belichek would never put up with Owerns. Besides he epitomizes everything that is not a Patriot, me first guy, salary guy, a complainer and whiner. No owerns in my best estimation will become a Bronco and will do for Denver what he did for the Eagles, and taken them to the SB. Then he will cause trouble all over again.

As for givens, is he a big guy, tall? I am not interested in a 5'10" posession reciever. Those guys are like a dime a dozen. I want someone who is taller, and can stretch the field. Someone like that.

It would almost be worth it, seeing if TO could destroy that franchise like he's done to Philly and SF. Sounds like an epic battle... unstoppable ego meets an unyielding coach.

Second, it's almost a Given that Saban would be interested.
Third, this belongs in the "free agent" section.
 
I would LOVE to see TO go the the Patriots. They might have 1 good year with him, then they would fall apart:D
 
From his stats this year, he doesnt impress me that much, he is good for about 3-4 catches a game, between 10 and 50 yds a game. He only had two games the entire year with over 100 yds receiving, and this is their go to guy?

Two TD's in the regular season, one against Den, one against TB. If he comes I'm not sure that I am so excited. I hope he doesn't sign with the Patriots, but if we get him or not, I'm not all that thrilled. I am sure he could provide some spark to our receiving corps, but dont overspend on this guy.

Givens is listed as 6'0". How tall are you really looking for?

BTW - Chambers is listed as 5'11".
