You guys ever hear this?

There was a stat that showed the number of recent superbowl champs that Miami had beaten during the regular season. Anybody have those numbers?

I think there have only been one or two years since about 1996 that we didn't beat the SB champ during regular season, and it may have been because they weren't on our schedule that year. I think the Rams were one of those teams.

We have beaten a lot. The Broncos, the Ravens, The Patriots, The Patriots again. If Den, Car, or NE win it this year.

i remember people talking about this so called streak, but just 2 seasons ago in 2003 we didn't beat the pats... we lost to em both times, and they won the superbowl... so i dont know what its about

alot of people are picking the broncos to win it all this year

I havent read this anywhere. They won't get past the Patriots this weekend IMO. It will be the Colts and Pats in the AFC championship. This will be a great game to watch.

They must all be in Denver because I haven't seen, read nor heard anything about the Broncos even getting to the SB much less winning it.

Nobody says anything about a streak:confused:

I think it's a Super Bowl participant not winner and it goes back to 98

98 Broncos
99 Titans
00 Ravens
01 pats
02 Raiders
03 nobody
04 Pats

Miami's Streak of Beating Superbowl Teams!

I remember noticing that we had a streak of beating the eventual SuperBowl champions. On futher investigation it is not much of a streak.

-Between 1991 and 2002 we either didn’t play or beat the Superbowl Champs that Season.
-We have beaten 3 of the last 5 and 4 of the last 7.
-If the Broncos, Panthers, or Patriots win the Super Bowl this year "Streak" will Continue.
-We don't have a Streak but we have done well in recent years.

thats why i wrote "i remember...", im not talking about anyone in this thread, i just remember hearing about it in the past like it was a streak and we had beaten X amount of superbowl winners the same year they won it...

I don't have the numbers in front of me. It does go back far. We even beat the Bears in 84- remember. It is with the SB champs. I realized this a few years back that there was this uncanny consistency. We just couldn't get by Buffalo during many of those years.

Well I put the data in post reply number 12. Thier is even a more amazing streak of mine. Seems every post I make ends up getting merged...
