Mort gives Ronnie Respect!!

I started a thread about an hour ago about ESPN showing ronnie no love. Well Chris Mortensen, just pointed out that ronnie has more yards, YPC, TD's and carries than caddy. Eat <removed> ditka and irvin.

Mortensen Just Gave Ronnie Some Respect on ESPN

He said with all the talk about Caddy, ronnie has more yards, ypc, and carries. About time.
 
Don't forget, he also has more TD's. I'm pulling for both these guys, they both seem to be good people. I also like Ronnie because he is the anti T.O. The guy is humble and does his job the best he can, emitting class as he does so. This will become more important as the years go by, and the young guys on the team look at Ronnie, possibly the teams best player, setting an example of hard work and graciousness, not thinking of the next way to get his mug on SportsCenter.
 
Caddy is flashy but doesnt really run fast or good! 13 carries for 20 yards! Ha Ha!

ditka? you mean the guy that said ronnie has been very impressive this year earlier today on ESPNEWS?
 
Jimmy Johnson gave Ronnie some love earlier in the week as well. The young man is coming along nicely I must say.

With all that work he had to break down sometime. 28 carries a game to start your career is just way too much. Still, you can't say he doesn't run good (or well). I love Ronnie, but you can't discredit Caddy completelybecause of Ronnie's success.
 
Also Mort mentioned that Saban wants to run the ball around 40 times PER GAME (20 for each back) but it's hard to do that when you get down 10,14,17, or 20 pionts in a game.
