Seems like he is having some issues:

"CB Will Poole, who sat out last year with a knee injury, wore a red jersey which alerts his teammates to avoid hitting him. Poole really seemed to be hobbling."

This sucks. Im sure everyone is like me wanting to see Poole out there. If this is an injury that is substantial, i dont know if Saban keeps him on the roster.

I hate to say things like this but injuries arent as bad as years past due to Saban stacking the chart with players that can contribute. Saban knows how to replace a guy. That is the comforting part of this kind of news.

Here's to hoping that he had a splinter on this foot.
 
He tore up his knee months before Culpepper. Daunte also tore more stuff up. Maybe it's the cutting a CB constantly has to do. Hopefully he'll get over this.
 
Bottom line, this is a bad sign for Poole. If he cannot recover from that knee injury and regain his speed/athleticism...there is no way he is going to be starting.

The mental frustration of a setback like this so early in camp is very hard to overcome.
 
Man and he was well on his way to being the steal of that draft. So far the steal of last year's has to be Channing at #70 but we shall see in a few years if that holds true.
 
And now Poole has been carted off this morning. Don't know how serious it is. What upsets me is that he was limping yesterday so why is he practicing today, and risking a more severe issue. Hope he's okay.

Unfortunately, everyone is very different when it comes to healing after an injury. Some can bounce back rather quickly, some can't at all. Sounds to me like he's gonna be IR material.

yeah, we need to be careful with our guys. at the same time, he's been behind and struggling a bit in the system by all accounts. i'm sure he was trying to do everything he could to be out there and get caught up. i hope its not anything major. CB is extremely difficult on a bad wheel. It requires the most reaction and quick cutting in response to that of any position.
 
We'll see what the injury is. I really wasn't counting on Poole to serve as anything but the dime CB this year. We seem to have really found something in Andre Goodman...I had previously thought the dude could kind of be another Reggie Howard but after mini camps and some training camp it looks more like he's another Terry Cousin.

We have a lot of safeties and as things stand we put a third safety on the field in a lot of dime situations. If Will Poole misses time that opens the door for Shirdonya Mitchell.

I hope for the best for Poole, but I don't think the Fins were counting on him and they're well-positioned to deal with losing him. They are in far better position to deal with losing Will Poole this year than they were last year.
 
no matter how advanced we get medically, people cant forget just how serious an injury acl's are. ended many a careers

Time to sign Jason Allen and get him in camp ya think?
 
Well, no matter what happens Jason Allen needs to get himself into camp. He's a first round pick and still has a lot to learn. If he waits any longer then he can kiss his starting job goodbye.
