"
Though we’ve yet to see the quotes, a media source tells us that Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter popped off after Sunday’s loss to the Texans regarding a call that was made during the drive that led to the game-winning points for the Texans.
Porter believes that a play ruled by referee Ed Hoculi to be an incomplete pass was actually a sack and a fumble.
We’ll be on the lookout for the actual quotes from Porter, who escaped a fine more than two years ago after suggesting that Pete Morelli’s crew wanted the Colts to win a playoff game against the Steelers.
I felt they were cheating us,” Porter said at the time.
We were told that Porter wasn’t fined then because players aren’t held to the same standard as coaches and other non-playing members of the organization. Since then, the league has altered its approach. Thus, this time around, Porter likely will be making a long-overdue contribution not the Human Fund."

Thoughts?

Of course Porter was closer than I was, but looking at the play (and replay after replay), the QBs arm was moving forward making it a forward pass and thereby making it an incomplete pass. But as I said, Porter was slightly closer to the play than I was.

At least someone has the guts to stand up and say it. It was a fumble.

He was right it was a fumble, check out the replay. I saw it live let's see if anyone talks about this later

My thoughts are.. here comes a hefty fine.

Oh, and that was a forward pass, sorry JP. You just blew up your pockets for nothing.

My initial thoughts was that it was a fumble. However, I'm also a biased fan and I was a little intoxicated.

I am pretty sure that was a pass. Not a fumble. Still though, nice to see Joey speak his mind. He is the leader of the defense, and I love seeing him fired up.

Still........it should have been replayed, just like Goodman's "interception" was replayed and over-ruled. How can you have a play like that, a game-changer, not reviewed by the booth inside 2 minutes??????

Good, the officials this year are a disgrace. If anybody saw that Eagles game where they let Mike Nolan challenge the FG that was above the bar or saw Dallas have to sit through 10 minutes of stupidity at the end there. This is the worst year of officiating i've ever seen.

Ok, so say they replay it on the sideline (when they could clearly see the replay on the jumbotron) and then still come up with the same result, then what has been accomplished besides wasting the fans time? The result would still have been incomplete pass.

I would have to agree with you there. There are always questionable calls in every game, but this is the most blown calls I've seen in a season. Every week there seems to be a game changing call that ended up being bad.

And I'm not talking about the Dolphins game here.
