Dolphins | Baggett possible candidate for offensive coordinator
Wed, 18 Jan 2006 20:28:49 -0800

Jeff Darlington, of the Palm Beach Post, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins wide receivers coach Charlie Baggett is a potential candidate to take over as offensive coordinator for the team. Current offensive coordinator Scott Linehan is expected to be named the St. Louis Rams head coach this week.

well hopefully this works out and he stays here and doesnt follow linehan.

I wouldn't be shocked to see him leave us for St. Louis and stay with Linehan if he is promoted to OC rather than stay with the dolphins.

Why would he become the OC for the Rams when he could do the same thing for Saban and probably get paid more????

Also, what the F is up with the conflicting reports???

The Miami Herald says that Linehan will take Baggett with him, while Jeff Darlington of the Palm Beach Post says that Baggett will be a main candidate to be Miami's offensive coordinator.

 :fire:

Bagget could replace Linehan

Sorry, I haven't followed Baggett's career very closely... how is it that he is the next best option? Was he the OC with Saban at LSU or Mich St?

This very likely may be a case of negotiating through the press. I'm not aware of anything that would keep Miami from being compensated by the Rams for Baggett if the teams can come to an arrangement. It could be that this is all about that process.

That all depends on if he chooses to stay with a champion or go with an unproven HC. Chances are the unproven HC flops. Percentages are not on his side. Not saying SL wont be successful, but this is a cruel league. Linehan will probably call his own plays like Parsells ect.
