Reggie Wayne

Hey fellas, somewhat new to the site. Great site by the way.
Anway, Wayne is a free agent, and there is no way the Colts can resign him, correct? Can you imagine Wayne opposite Chambers? Unreal! Reggie catches EVERYTHING, runs great routes, and he is underrated, yes , I said it. I know that many are very enamored with him, they think he's only good cuz of Harrison, he's like Peerless Price (which is BS),however, I would rather have him NOW over Harrison! Also, unlike TO he's a great character guy, a true professional.

this has been a popular thread topic this year. i agree, wayne would be a TERRIFIC sign

Get rid of Bryan Gilmore...Wayne, Chambers, Booker, Welker, mabye a rookie in the draft
DELICIOUS! :D

Polian has said they will do whatever it takes to resign Wayne. So, no it doesn't look like he'll be available.

that doesn't matter. he's going to cost a TON of money, as he'll be the top free agent this offseason, aside from drew brees. no way they could afford him unless wayne takes a giant paycut

isnt he unrestircted> if so it is his option. he went to school in miami and maybe he'd like to return home. he'd have to be out of his mind to want to leave that passing attack but who knows, he could be home sick

why? what does he bring to the table that we are missing....afterall he cannot throw the ball.

Wayne is a good player but will likely want more money than we paid for Chambers and we have a position called QB that is a major need once again.

Ah, the daily Wayne thread.

I'll note once again that it isn't the repetition I disapprove of as much as it is the idea that this team would be wise to get Wayne even if he is available.

Let's count the reasons:

1) Miami has all the receiver it needs in Chambers/Booker. In fact, we have seen this year that the team actually has too much receiver in them if anything. Booker is criminally underused.
2) Because Booker is criminally underused, his trade value is depressed.
3) Because Wayne plays on a currently undefeated team in a high-powered offense, his price tag will be inflated this year
4) Due to 2 & 3, Miami will have sold low and bought high if they exchange Booker for Wayne.
5) People here argue (somewhat persuasively) that Chambers really needs to be a #2 to maximize his worth to the team. Bringing in Wayne brings in another #2, not a #1. The last thing Miami needs to do is invest in a Peerless Price and put the same type of demands on him Atlanta put on Price.

I think that will just about do it for now.
