Merged: Riggs released from PS, Davis signed

On Monday, Miami added fullback Carey Davis to the practice squad. To make room on the eight-man squad for Davis, the Dolphins released running back Gerald Riggs Jr.

It looks like we signed him to the practice squad and not the active roster. Beasley wouldn't be eligible for the PS. Davis is an undrafted rookie from the University of Illinois who went to camp with the Buccaneers.

It really seems that we were impressed with the some of the Tampa Bay backups, as we signed Massaquoi yesterday and Davis today.

I think we signed him to the practice squad as an emergency fullback, in case something happens to Barnes and with Sammy Morris being suspended.

That's pretty good.

I couldn't help but notice Cadillac's stats from the preseason (4 carries for 3 yards - a .8 YPC average). That's why I'm not worried about Ronnie.
