Rookies will be the first players to get a taste of Dolphins training camp under first-year head coach Cam Cameron.

A source said that Dolphins rookies and other select players will be the first to report for camp July 22, five days before veterans are set to arrive. The initial full-squad practice will be held July 28 at team headquarters in Davie.

Thanks for the post... I can't wait for camp to start. Let's get those pads on and see some real action.

Mueller get those remaining four rookies signed.....

Agreed. We can't stand to miss a single day of having them all in there.

My top 2 concerns are Ginn and Beck. I don't see either of them as the type to hold out either. Ginn knows Cameron too well to holdout. Beck's a mormon and a team player.

I think they just haven't gotten to them yet and Mueller was waiting for the market to be set for the first day picks.

rookies & TC

I could have sworn i read somewhere that the rookies reporting date for training was the 23rd of July or something like that. was i wrong?:confused2

The rookies report on July 22nd and the veterans report on July 27th. First open practice to the public is July 28th. We are almost there!

It seems Cam and Mueller are spending alot of time of vacation. :err:

Quite the contrary: They are doing everything they can to get the guys signed. Problem is that now's a bad time to do it as you got nothing to relate those contracts to. If you know what Houston paid Okoye, for intance, you'd have a pretty good idea what to offer Ginn. Neither the teams nor the players have any interest in pulling the trigger too fast as it might mean that you severely over- or underpay your guys. Wait for league wide negotiations to pick up pace in the next week or two and you'll see our picks signed before camp. Keep in mind that Mueller got the other picks to sign very, very early. He's done everything that can be done up until now.

that maybe true but i am becoming very...very nervous about it now its less that two weeks before the rooks report and league wide no first rounders(except Olson) and to my knowlage early 2nds have signed

Im so tired of this nonesense. Every year its the same thing... not just with us either... Its really not as complicated as ppl make it out to be. Take the person who was drafted in the same spot last year and add a small percentage to their salary. Done!
Why do we have to go through this torment every single year???
