pti?

Pardon the Interuption

He was asked the question of Ricky Williams being traded..and he said no

Then they talked about the Manny Wright incident

and they talked about Brown and some other stuff

Will Ricky be traded? Saban: "NO"

For all the Ricky haters out there, Saban was on Pardon the Interuption and was asked directly by Tony Cornheiser if he will trade Ricky Williams, Saban said "No". He went on to say that that "no one in the organization is even talking about trading him". The plan is to work with him to get him back to where he was prior to leaving and to support him as a memeber of the team.

So get use to Ricky being here at least this year. I think depending on how he and Ronnie both play wil dictate where this all goes.

Although that was my general feeling; it's great to hear it directly from him. He really isn't a bull**** artist and won't make definate statements. If he says something like that, it sounds like he'll be here for the duration.

That's awesome:)

Although he also led us all to believe that Ronnie Brown wasn't our pick either...

Yes, but that is draft strategy and everyone bluffs to protect their pick. And if he could have got his trade he wouldn't have drafted Ronnie.

Don't merge this, it is more than just about PTI and relates to a specific topic.

I think Saban is being sincere.

Ricky looks like he will be a productive back again,he says that he does care about the money or the stats,he has bought into Sabans program and is motivated.I dont think he wants to be traded and he will probably be amenable to negotiate his future contracts to help the Fins to get under the cap.

Any trade for Ricky will probably involve conditional picks and there is always a chance he may not like to go to another team and quit.

Whats not to like ? If Ronnie proves our to be the real deal we will have the best one-two combination in the league for a couple of years.

I am gonna get bashed for this but I don't care.

If Ricky has a lights out year and shows committment and heart and Ronnie has a solid year as well.......

Ronnies contract makes it very easy to trade him specifically with the roster bonuses and incentives.

Just throwing it out there. Ricky wouldn't get us more then a 2nd at best next year while Ronnie could possibly still pull a late first.

With that said, I don't want it to happen. I think Ronnie/Ricky is gonna go down as one of the best duo's in NFL history. They compliment each other so well.
