Saints signed DE Rob Ninkovich off the Dolphins' practice squad.
Obviously, the Saints aren't expecting Deuce McAllister or Will Smith's four game suspensions to be overturned and the Vikings shouldn't be either. "Nink" has some pass rush ability. He'll be New Orleans' fourth end.

Im interested in seeing who is signed to take Smiley's spot and who we sign to fill Ninkovichs spot on the PS.

Seems like Nink has been on and off teams for a while. For his sake, I hope he finds a home. For the Fin's sake...I hope he doesn't make the pro bowl in the process.

Not that it matters much for my team right now but Ninkovich should see extensive action. Charles Grant went on IR, Will Smith is suspended in the "Starcaps" mess so the Saints are down to Bobby McCray and some guy named Charleston (who was signed a few weeks ago). Glad to see Ninkovich back. Don't be surprised if he sticks this time with the Saints (the coaching staff didn't want to lose him off the Saints' PS when the Phins grabbed him).

A lot Saint fans and Saints were upset when they originally cut him. They thought they could stash him on their PS until he healed and they needed him. Apparently the plan all along was to stash him on our rosters until they needed him.

Ninkovich is one of those perform well in pre-season, disapear in regular season type players.

Practice squad linebacker Rob Ninkovich was claimed by the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, returning to the team that originally select him in the fifth round of the 2006 draft.
Ninkovich was initially claimed off waivers by the Dolphins in 2007, and spent all of last season, and most of this season on the eight-man practice squad.
He was signed to the 53-man roster for one game, playing on special teams in the Nov. 16th win over Oakland. The next week he was cut and re-signed to the practice squad.
His departure opens up a spot on the Dolphins 8-man practice squad for a player with less than eight games of NFL experience.
