Not to beat a dead horse or anything like that....but I talked to a guy today in OH that follows the Bengals pretty closely and he told me ( not a inside source or anything) that Bengals and Dolphins were talking about C Johnson, but the Bengals wanted a second for the WR. Even though publically I know they said that they would not trade him that talks have continued(supposedly). Take it for what it's worth. Just passing along tidbits that I hear.

We're trading for Chad, we're trading for McNabb. i'm sick of the trade talk. We need to draft young players and get them in here producing for us ASAP. We're already years behind the rest of the league with our piss poor draft history. NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:shakeno:

No way should the Dolphins trade for Chad Johnson if it will cost them a 2nd round pick. These offseason rumors have become very annoying because very few of them are actually good for the Dolphins.

Im good on Chad Johnson for similar reasons Im good on McNabb and Shockey. The only difference is Chad Johnson is a solid player. Im still good on him though.

I understand the trade talks can get annoying, but I actually l think there pretty amusing. Chad for San Diegos pick in the second I wouldnt mind though. I agree though in relation to McNabb, I vote no.

So your saying that trading chris chambers for chad johnson is not worth it?

all the rumors are fun, it is a long offseason and we need to keep the juices flowing

This is exactly right. :clapping:

They can have our third rounder, the last pick of the second round really, for Chad. Take it or leave it.

I'd make the same offer to the Lions for Roy Williams.

Any deal would need to be done by March, as there are a number of FA WRs that could be pursued. Berrian from the Bears or Bryant Johnson from the Cards for example.

Ocho Cinco is a much better WR than Chambers. Size and Speed go to CJ. Tuna likes CJ types of WR on his team. Look what he did when he was in Dallas. He brought in TO and CONTROLLED his attitude for the most part anyway. So for the 2nd we got out of CC for CJ, I say DO IT!!!!

actually yes, the second round pick that we got for CC should be used to sure up our defense rather than use it on a wide out with only a few more good years left. Keep in mind Chad Johnson is 30 years old, and it will take several years to rebuild this team. By the time we are competitive again Chad Johnson will be on a steep decline. However, a young play will not have even reached his prime yet. Rebuild through the draft, don't give away picks.

I believe we should build the OL before going after any skill position players. CJ is worth nothing if the QB has no time to throw the ball. I'd rather trade for a stud LT and move Carey back to RT where he belongs.

no to chad johnson. great talent but not young enough. we want players that will still be good when rebuilding is over.
