Watching ESPN right now and they are going over Dan's top 10 highlights (by the way I thought you'd all like to know about 7 of the 10 are Jet games ;>). Anyway, they're talking about all these games of Dan with 400+ yards, 6 TD, 4 TD games, but the Fins stil lose. This then leads to Tom Jackson saying "Marino is the most prolific passer the game has seen" he then mentions the reason Marino didn't win a ring was because he NEVER..I repeat..NEVER had a defense.

The "Clock Play" to beat the Jets and the bomb to Iriving Fryar to beat the Patriots on 4th and 5 from the 40 yard line were my favorite Marino plays. :)
 
Marinos top 10 plays!!

Anyone catch it on ESPN??? Tom Jackson just said halfway through the clip,
"I hope this puts to rest the argument about whether Marino is the most prolific passer in NFL hisrtory". I love the fact that every once in a while someone does a little homework before spewing an opinion. IMO anyone who doesn't think Marino is the best QB ever, really don't know who many different records Marino owns and broke. It's truly amazing. How they can blame Marino for not winning a SB when game after game, season after season Marino would throw for over 400 yrds and multiple TD's and not look at the D's that Marino had during those times.

The top 10, all they talked about how Marino would throw for over 400 yrds and 5 or 6 TD's just to see the D give up 380 yrds passing and lose by 5 or 6 points, time after time!! Name one SB team to have that kind of D!!!!
YOU WON'T FIND ONE!!!

EDITORS NOTE: Sarcasim ahead-

Yeah it's Montana that won all the SB's because we all know San Fran had no D during those SB's wins, the difference between Montana and Marino is Montana would will his team to win those SB's thus giving Montana the nod over Marino for best ever!!

Well it's not far ;>

Sarasota is only a good hour drive from where I live in Ft Myers (right across the airport on Daniels).
 
I saw Tom Jackson and he was correct, Dan never had the D to go with the offense, but he was still the greatest ever....I think Dan threw over 70 TD's aganst the Jets (the most ever by one QB over another team)....man he owned the Jets. The Fake Spike will never be forgotten. :)
