This message board continues to surprise me over the hate that is expressed through your internet connections at our pro bowl players, mainly daunte and chambers.

if this message board made the roster moves we would trade away ever single player on our roster for a magic bean and T.O.

The Chambers hating i cannot understand. The man you should be hating and who is also getting a lot of money this year is joey harrington.

Chambers showed what kind of WR he is when he had at least DECENT QB's throwing the ball to him(gus and sage) in 2005.

It's smart to move chambers around, but let me remind you that he was on the outside when he won us the bills game. he didnt need the slot to protect him then, and he doesnt need it if he has a healthy daunte.

yes if daunte is hurt and we have to go with lemon or an off-season pickup he should be moved around, but it is quite obvious to anyone not wearing T.O. or randy moss goggles that Chambers is our #1 receiver and wont be cut or traded for a 15th round pick like some of us think on this board.

another example, someone should dig up the catch he had in the pro bowl from peyton manning, wow chambers is the bomb-you'll scream!

do you guys hate on chambers because he looks like a frog?

because he is from wisconsin?

because he is short?

i think its because an emo qb named joey 'oregon' harrinton tried to play qb for us.

chambers would have put up 20 more catches and 4 more td's if marty booker was throwing at him. booker>harrinton....not true but its fun to hate on joey.

Some hate on Chambers because they feel he didn't earn his salary this year.

It would be a miracle if this is the last Chris Chambers Thread this offseason. It's a long time before the preseason begins.

I dont personally think its fun to hate on Joey. He played pretty well for his time here, all things considered.

That being said, i hope Chambers really turns it around. His problem was dropped passes, plain and simple. He dropped too many. I dont want to here that they were hard passes to catch, i dont want to here that chambers had to work harder to get to them.

The great receivers...catch the ball....no matter what. It's as simple as that.

I think you got it backwards there Harrington would have put up 10 more TD's and had 10 Less interceptions if he had a better reciever to throw the ball too!

People don't "hate on" Chambers because "it's fun" people want the team to get better and in order for that to happen Chambers has got to go, nothing personal, just business. You don't do your job you get fired.

Poor poor Chambers, so misunderstood. Those passes that go through his hands and bouce off his chest and face mask, need to be thrown by a better qb...............

actually it's a waste of time to post in a thread like that. But Aqua4ever06 might needs some backup. So he's not the only Dolfan trying to explain how good a player Chris is?

Just to pick up placebo's to fact! Do you guys really think, that TO (or Moss) would be able to perform with the passblocking of the 06 oline and Joey throwing him the ball! Some of you probably didn't quite get the meaning of football! it is a TEAM (T-E-A-M) Game. So if one component is not performing the rest of the team looks crappy too.

It became such a commodity to write bad about chambers. How come you guys are cool with the performance of C Rex Hadnot, getting pushed back at least 3 yrds on every down? tell me? I'm just curious!

great can you please write me a pm with the phone number of Mike Mularkey? Since he called the plays last season, he has to be the one who knows wheather chambers did or didnt do his job.
How many times did Saban step in front of the press and said, that Chambers was the deep thread (20 or more yards) in that system. as fast chambers is as soon as he took of, joey already threw the ball to one of his underneath guys.

did you get my point? probably not and since you already made a name for yourself by haiting on chambers you won't stop. but when chambers gets lights out next season guys like aqua4ever06 and me will be having fun about guys like you!!!

wow, do we have darwin awards on this message board?

oh but you are right, when harrington had 3 first round Wideouts to throw to in detroit he showed that he could throw the ball like dan marino.

i really dont want to be mean to you, but go look at the talent joey had around him with the lions, especially at receiver and then try to make that same comment again. i dare you! :ricky:

You had me until you started to hate on Joey...not that QB wasn't our biggest problem last year, it was. Harrington was a bust, no doubt, but so was DC in his 4 games and Lemon didn't fare much better. The bottom line isthat we have a weak OL (although improving), a weak QB rotation (at least until DC is healthy...then who knows) and behind CC we don't have much to offer at WR. Yes, Booker is ok, perhaps as a #3. WW is a nice player, but not really all that, just better than what most expect him to be. We get no production from the TE position in the passing game. So teams blanket CC and Brown so that IF they are catching anything, it's short dump-offs and not resulting in any real production....It's not about hating one player or another, it's about not having a supporting cast, offensively, around the few better guys we have....

i never said we have a good o-line, but try this on for size: gus frerrote had basically the same line, i would say a worse o-line in 2005 and look at chambers performance that game.

if daunte is healthy we dont need a rotation at qb, we'll find out this year. marty booker is a perfect #2 wideout to compliment chambers, didnt he lead the team in TD's?

Dont start hating on randy mcmike either, he has shown in the past what he can do with fiedler at qb when he had his best season a few years ago. if daunte is healthy dont worry about mcwifebeater, he'll be ok.

i find the fact that gus frerrote and sage were able to lead this team one ronnie brown fumble against the bills from making the playoffs, and once you are in the playoffs all bets are out the window. this team wouldve been the steelers of 2005 if we made the playoffs, just look what they did as a wild card team with some momentum.

joey did ok, but as jay fiedler is evidence you cant be just OK at the qb level.

daunte is the only chance this team has next year, and chambers, mcmike, and all the rest of the fins that depend on the qb will have their seasons performance relying on daunte's knee.

chambers is an elite #1 receiver in the league, and deserves our support after one bad joey harrington caused season.

i don't get it either......... i really think Qb is the problem here........ when the Qb is doin his job theres nothing to complain about ....... so whats the point of tearing our WRs to shreds when we can't get them the ball... ??? I do believe if some of the people on this board ran the team we'd trade everyone for some other less talented guy Haha. I guess if we don't get a respectable QB on the field Chambers will always be seen, to many, as the bum WR that couldnt put up All-pro stats in a plain bad run oriented offense with Qbs that hardly make for good backups.. However, if say Daunte comes back to form i know for sure that Chambers will be back too..... I can only hope for that........ a good Qb that is. Then theres the great feeling of watching all the haters dissapear into the shadows forever like what has happened with CC before and Ronnie Brown too.

Haha just think about how funny it is to have a WR make the pro-bowl....... get a new OC, two new QBs....... the offense cant move the ball....... the Qb's rating is around 65...... and the WR gets more flak than Nick Saban himself......... what happens when we can get CC the ball again ? will he go from a bum #2 Wr at best... back to a top fleet WR ? :sidelol: that logic makes me laugh......so like children.:D Chris has been the same player all along and it's time we get him the ball consistently.

well said, at least not everyone on here is insane and wants to trade all 53 guys for 23rd round picks and T.O.

Most the WRs you would consider better then CC actually had more drops then him this season.... people just like to exxagerate because they don't really watch alot of football and all they see is Chambers dropping the ball every so often. Thats the only conclusion i can come up with........ cuz Steve Smith, T.O. even Marvin Harrison, Boldin/Fitz.. those guys had the real dropsies. Most drops counted on CC are ones he barely manages to get his hand(s) on anyway... no he hasnt been as surehanded as usual latley........ but in normal situations Marty Booker is the guy who cant hold onto the ball. He j.ust looked alot better thanx to the play of Joey Harrington while Joey could barely get the ball in CC's range.

When you look at the actual facts... located in my sig... you'll notice that Chris had a drop every 19 attempts.... Marty was slightly better at every 22 attempts... Wes welker who people said was our most reliable WR dropped 1 of every 14 attempts.

And where are those three first rounders now?

Uh...yes he was in the slot. He was in the slot and moved around everywhere in an attempt to keep him from being covered by Nate Clements. And it worked beautifully. Sage's bomb on the game winning drive (which CC poorly adjusted to then fell down untouched) came at the expense of......London Fletcher. The game winning catch (which was a thing of beauty no doubt) came against which DB? Can anyone even name him off the top of their heads?

Anyway, I'm glad you think he should be moved around. I guess you've joined the "haters", because that's all we are saying. That and a pay cut which everyone sould like to see for FA signings.
