Id say that 5 out of the 7 sacks were Daunte's fault, he was scared to throw the ball so he just held on to it! He wouldnt throw the ball unless he was 100% sure that the pass was going to be complete. For a quarterback your not gonna win games if you dont make passes! The only pass he threw that was not 100% was the worst decision ive ever seen and costed us the game (hint: INT). Bottom line is if CPEP wants to be successful and win games, hes gotta stop bein scared to make throws!!!

the real problem is that he becomes predictable by throwing it to his backs nine out of ten times

Of course, when he does throw those passes, they get intercepted. He's not the best decision maker and with our OL, he's being forced to win games for us which he can't do. He's just not clutch.

I agree. But we NEED a guy who IS clutch - who is Money in the 4th Quarter. Who has proven and demonstrated that ability. Who comes into the game off the bench and throws a TD Pass his first attempt. Who throws 3 TD's against the great Steelers D. Who is a legit #1 Draft Pick QB.

HEY WAIT - WE HAVE A LEGIT #1 DRAFT QB SITTING ON THE BENCH PEOPLE

I've noticed that as well it seems that he is so scared of throwing the ball. I don't know anymore to me its seems that he is not comfortable with the system. Odd because I thought all along that this was still Linehan's offense with just a little wrinkle of Mularkey so far this season and preseason Cpep and the whole offense seems like they are totally learning a whole new offense. Man what is going on? :fire:

Culpepper holding onto the ball..

I posted this march 14th. you're just getting to see the tip of the iceberg of the enigma known as Daunte Culpepper

What your going to be screaming the most is Daunte TRHOW IT THROW IT THROW IT. I kid you not he will stand around all day waiting for somebody to be wide open, it will drive you nuts. He was big & fast enough to get away with it most of the time, but more often than not he'll start running around & knee punt the ball out of his own little hand

Actually he has fumbled it 1346 times since the end of the game while holding it.. He handles the football like trying to squeeze a wet watermelon seed with the tips of your fingers..

My dad was right. Once we signed Cpep he said "I hope Miami has a offensive line, because if you dont give him time he will make mistakes."

Ask your dad if his team wants cpep. J/k. Seriously though, You cant blame everything on cpep, or the o-line. You need to spread the blame out evenly amongst the two. They both sucked today.

It is very difficult to make a valid evaluation on the passing game given that games on television DO NOT show receivers run their routes. An evaluation that I can make is that Culpepper IS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH HIMSELF NOT BEING ABLE TO ESCAPE FROM the POCKET like he used to. Culpepper feels vulnerable and this is the first time he is forced to play with limited mobility in his ENTIRE CAREER. That CANNOT be emphasized enough. This is a completely different QB from whatever tape you pickup on Culpeppers past.

With that being said, Culpepper looks dazed and confused at what he sees on the field and based on the televison screen view, we as fans are provided, I couldn't tell anyone what the problem is.

For one, I did NOT think the offensive line did that bad of a job today. The worst aspect of the offense would either be Mularkey or Culpepper, period.
IMO.
