Thomas wants to play

Middle linebacker Zach Thomas was given clearance by renowned sports surgeon Dr. James Andrews to resume playing despite having a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

Thomas, who met with Andrews on Monday in Birmingham, Ala., said he plans to wear a harness and will try to play against Buffalo. Thomas, who also is nursing a high ankle sprain that forced him to miss the Oakland game, said he is rushing his return because he believes the Dolphins have a chance at making the playoffs. ...

Guard Rex Hadnot (knee) and receiver Marty Booker (calf) are day-to-day.

Awesome news..I hope he just doesn't go out there and risk injury before HIS BODY is ready.

honestly i hope he dosen't play, take some time off and get healthy zach you sure aren't prolonging your career not letting yourself heal

Back trying to beat Nublar huh???

Damn, Zach is amazing....I tore the labrum in my right shoulder last year and it took months for it to get it back in shape....I hope he is not in too much pain but I admire him for his efforts. :)

i hope he does and watch him pop some rb's up the middle.:D

And there is a thread out there saying we should get rid of him next year.
54 is the man!!! But I rather see him sit out 1 more game to get 100% again.

He went away for over a month then shows up again out of nowhere. I just have to pick up my game again.

You must do nothing..you are king and all who forget must view you're highlights. I love watching the game but can't convert them becuase I suck at that..

While the Doc apparently gave the OK, it seemed Zack was interested in talking and getting the opinion of others who had the injury, before rushing back in.
Almost seems as if ZT's been readin this forum! or the linked articles! :rofl3:
He developed a sudden urgency somewhere, but sure looks as if theres a concern to keep peeps from getting to comfy, or too settled into whatever voids they may currently be filling,
...and filling rather adaquately. :crutch:

If his motivation is making the playoffs ... then it is seriously MISGUIDED ...

Respect the heck outta the guy ...

But all I can say is .... CLE 22 - MIA 0 .... THAT was a statement game !

Playoffs ... let's get real ... we just don't belong there ... albeit, it would be great if we did win out ... just that neither are realistic expectations ...

A torn labrum never heals fully ... and sitting out 1 maybe 2 more weeks is not going to really help it ... playing 'could' make it even worse ...

Regardless ... GOTTA LOVE THE GUY !!
