Brock Berlin First Game....

I was really hoping for Berlin to show us something, Jake Delhomme went to NFL Europe and look at him, but here are his stats from week 1 of NFL Europe. And if he can't get it done against these guys theres no way he can play in the NFL.

10-25 129 yds. 1 TD 3 INT rating 30.7

Yeah, that is pretty bad but it decently compares to the stats of our recent QBs :rolleyes2

It's his first game so hopefully we'll see some improvement in the future

show us something? after his hurricane career, his stats for the NFL europe game pretty well reflected what kind of QB he is. he is training camp fodder so that real NFL QBs that will make the roster don't get hurt.

Who are the other QB's on his team? Brock might find himself deep down the depth chart if he doesn't improve. That's kind of sad.

yup

Brock Berlin will be lucky to make our practice squad. However, since he went to NFL Europe, he will be with us through the end of training camp thanks to the NFLE roster exemption.

it isn't like the QBs in NFL Europe are making the jump to the NFL so does it really matter that a no talent QB like berlin is even playing?

I never did like him and was somewhat surprised that we even kept him to send overseas. I still think Saban would like to draft another QB to develop this year, except with so few picks remaining he may not. Perhaps Cleo Lemon will have to stick as our developmental QB and we get a decent but cheap veteran to back up Daunta.

Really, you might want to look at some rosters over the past few years and see how many QB have put in some time over in europe. It just might shock you.

Those are some horrible numbers. Brock may be playing himself right off of the practice squad. :o

Just as one example Jake Delhome went overseas and hes one of the top Qb's in the league.

Yes Jake is an NFL Europe Alum that has gone on to become a starter, as has Warner, Kitna, Brad Johnson, etc... But I wasn't even refering to the ones that went on to start, just the ones that made NFL rosters. There's 15 or so that were on 53 man rosters last year. The poster that I was replying to made it seem that it never happens.

Did you see Berlin play at UM? He was a joke there. He will be bagging groceries in a few months for a living
