Merged: Wilkinson trade likely to be voided Friday

Defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson, whom the Dolphins traded to the Denver Broncos for a sixth-round pick on March 3, must take his physical in Denver no later than Friday or the trade will be voided, according to two league sources.

As of Wednesday, the Dolphins and Broncos had yet to locate Wilkinson, a 13-year veteran who turned 34 on Tuesday.

BIG DADDY IS IN HIDING
A league source tells us that defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson, who was recently traded from the Fins to the Broncos, is not answering his phone and can't be reached by either team.
Per the source, if Wilkinson doesn't take a physical by Friday, March 16, the deal will be voided.
The thinking in some league circles is that, although Wilkinson says he plans to retire, he wants to be able to play in 2007 without having to participate in an offseason program. Some believe that, if the Broncos or the Dolphins were to tell Wilkinson that he doesn't have to show up for offseason workouts, Wilkinson would relent. ​

The Dan Wilkinson-to-Denver trade will be voided if Wilkinson doesn't take a physical by Friday, sources tell the Palm Beach Post.

The Dolphins sent Wilkinson to the Broncos for a sixth-round pick in early March, but "Big Daddy" is believed to be contemplating retirement. Denver will get its sixth-rounder back if the deal falls through.

If he doesn't show up and retires, then he'll become the property of the Dolphins and the Dolphins will then just hold his rights forever. If Fat arse, I mean Big Daddy ever wants to play again, he'll have to do it thru the Dolphins.

I give Big Faddy props. I thought for sure he'd pick up his 2.2 million from the Broncos. Fake an injury during the preseason, then play maybe one exhibition game, dominate, then shut it down for the season like he did with us. I underestimated his sheer laziness and sloth. My bad.

Maybe we should just find any random dude named Dan Wilkinson and ship him to Denver in fatso's place. I had a lot of hopes for that guy and he just got lazy.
