edwards almost a fin

just heard on the espn draft special from speilman that miami almost drafted braylon edwards instead of brown.
how do you guys think are season would have played out if we had drafted him?

i think we would be drafting higher this year

Don't listen to Spielman...you will only get a headache!!!

I think one of the guys who was talking to Speilman was thinking the same thing. He just had a "this guy is full of BS" look on his face, haha.

Maybe , but Ricky did come back and we started the year 2-4 so Ricky could have carried the load. You cannot say that Edwards would have got injured and we probably would have taken a back in the second round probably Morency or Shelton. I'm sure we would have a similar record but its hard to really say what would happen. We would have had a dangerous third option at wideout and maybe that would have made us better in some ways.

If speilman knew what he was talking about, he would still be working for us

Speilman was awful
traded a 2nd and a third for two guys that were at best third stringers for us and got no value for either when they left. Traded a 4th to move up one spot that was not going to be drafted by Minnesota anyway. Traded a pro bowl DE for a third round pick and a good Wr.

On;y good I will give him is that his last draft was his best draft ever but he still fudged that up too.

This one full year was among the worst ever by any GM. Only he would sign a guy then find out he is injured(Damion Mcintosh). What an idiot.

according to speilman we needed a WR and we wanted CLE to trdae up with us to pick up edwards so then we could have gotten an EXTRA pick and SITLL draft Ronnie BRown but since CLE did NOT buy into our bluff we took Ronnie Brown instead. so if you ask me now its a WR for sure this yea rin RD 1 adn i think we might try to trade OUT and get Moss and an EXTRA pick. MOSS is the playmaker more then holems and jackson i believe that can compliment CC quite well.

Santana Moss is the fastest.

Chad Jackson is the tallest.

Santonio Holmes is the most polished, runs the best routes and has the most quickness.

Look at my sig and guess who I want the most.

Moss is a midget so why draft him that high. If we want a midget wait and get skler later in draft. If we take Moss in second round I'm ok but there is better value in first round.

Last year's draft was too weak to even trade our second pick especially when there were three backs that were basically even at the top.

I wanted Edwards last year because I still feel Ronnie while he's one of my favorite players in the entire league, and IS ALREADY a damn good back, IS STILL A RB. RBs don't go 2 overall very often and I don't know if Ronnie was that special to use the 2 for.

My guess would be Miami would have taken Edwards, used their 2nd round pick to draft Marion Barber, and from the on the same draft. It wouldn't have been a bad idea but I'm happy with how things are.

If all things had somehow worked the same way that Miami was at 16 now more than likely the Fins would be decent needs-wise maybe slightly better off. Might even go for a RB this year again...

The one thing that sucks for Miami is that this year would be a great year at 16 for a RB. D'Angelo Williams is a great pick for whoever drafts him.

Speilman was the one that wanted to draft Braylon Edwards.

That got shot down when Saban denied his pick, we needed a running back at the time, which was obvious.

Wow, it appears Saban's famous "Braylon Edwards Smokescreen" even fooled his own GM.
