merged x2 Saban's drafts or lack of...

I would still punch Saban in the face over Culpepper. What a MORON.

Why do we keep hiring MORONS????

Wayne, call me. I can fix the team. I know more about football than Wanny or Saban for sure!

Great article! I had to laugh, harder and harder in fact as the article went on, that's how funny the ineptness of the fins drafting has been recently. Hindsight is always 20/20 but it is the only was to judge the merits of a draft. A complete joke!

Saban was a moron for that culpepper decsion.

That was the team's doctors, actually. They wouldn't sign off on Brees' shoulder. The incompetence can't be blamed on one person - it's systemic and if one guy doesn't screw up, another one will.

You know, I'm a Jason Allen fan but right now I think that the best thing for both the Dolphins and Jason is to cut him this week. He's been jerked around for the last three years and if Sparano has a boner for "stud" safeties like Crocker, then get rid of Allen and let him join another team. Isn't NE in need of safeties?

5 pathetic drafts when Wannstedt and Spielman were in charge and then that was topped off by idiot Saban's crap filled drafts and then Cam's garbage. Is it any wonder that we have a roster with little talent???

These players are now in their 3rd and 4th years. These should be the stars of our team and the backbone of our future. We have 2! These should be the 26 and 27 year olds on the team in their prime.

Add that with the fact we have very few (maybe one off the top of my head) starters from the previous couple of years and we have a team based on backups, rookies and older free agents. At this point I would trade our starting lineup for New Englands backup lineup, and I am not usually a pessimist.

How is it we only have 2 and one of them was a 2nd overall pick. Although I think Ronnie is better than Barber, Armando is right, Gore is better than Brown. But who could have guessed that.

Exactly right my fellow fan. And the fact we only have 2 of those payers contributing only point out how long this process is going to take. On a 53 man roster the draft will only bring you 7-10 players tops.

And we don't hit on all of them, most drafts are successful if you hit on 2-3. So it's going to take a long time.

regardless of doctors signing off on brees or not saban blew it big time in that draft. He could of and should of used that 2nd rd pick to trade up and grab cutler. Then he should of signed steve hutchingson in FA and resigned ferrotte to keep things together while jay learned the system.

No brees, no daunte. We would be light years ahead of where we are today if he would of made those moves

Saban was obssesed with the SEC, and never really bothered to do his homework outside of that.

Although it's easy to choose who the better pick would be, you would have to have a crystal ball to know that guys like Jacobs or Barber would be studs.

for every Barber there are 20 PJ Daniels'
