Overpaid and needs to be cut. Screw him, he has lost more big games for us than he has won. This has been a 4 year trend time to get rid of this idiot
 
Agreed. If he gets paid that much, he shouldn't be missing such clutch kicks. He used to be automatic, but he just isn't anymore.
 
I never used to buy into the cut mare stuff, but after his performances this year i can say i'm starting jump on board the cut mare bandwagon.
 
I don't blame Mare one bit. First it was a 51 yard fg, and earler in the game we were easily within fg range, and went for it on forth and one and failed. Mare shouldn't be held responsible for this loss.

I can't believe how many kicks this guy misses. Every year I hear the excuses. I am tired of the excuses. Its definitely time for this guy to either take a major paycut or get cut. When Nick Saban asked Mare to take a pay cut this off season Mare got all upset. I don't know how this guy can even feel good picking up his pay check every week with the way he preforms!
 
50 yards is no gimmie. He's overpaid yes, but I can't think of anyone out there that could be had for little money or a low draft pick that I'd rather have.
 
Yup, I have supported Mare throughout the last few off seasons when people were calling for his head, buts his play this season is inexcusable. Noone is blaming him for the loss, and a 51 yarder is a hell of a kick, but it's a culmination of the inconsistency and inability to rely on Mare, isnt he the highest paid in the league? It was niceknowing you Olindo Mare
 
His percentage keeps dropping. Let me recall my fondest memories of Mare.

AFC East on the line against NE game 16 and after we lose the coin flip decides it is time to kick the ball out of bounds to give them the ball at the 40.

Game against NE in 2003, homefield and the AFC East on the line, misses a FG at the end of regulation, misses another field goal and NE wins in OT.

With games on the line Mare is no longer clutch. We need to rid ourselves of this overhyped POS and pick up a younger kicker. Mare started out a 90% FG kicker, dropped to mid 70's and this year is hovering around 63%. We need to cut him this week to send a message to the team, but I don't think Saban has the balls to do so.
 
I would get Mare in a room back in Miami and tell him, "restructure your contract RIGHT NOW or be cut RIGHT NOW."
 
Some of his misses ealier in the season were "cut worthy" but not necessarily this one. A 51 yarder isn't exactly a gimme and the Jets line got really good penetration and forced him to rush it a little.

Yeah I forgot to include that, he refused to restructure and help the team. He is living off his past reputation, that reputation is now hurting this team.
 
I'm ticked at Mare, but the trade deadline is in two days. Exactly where will we get a replacement from?

If he keeps this up, though, he's definitely gone at the end of the year.
 
i dont know if any kickers will be available this 0ff-season...but id love to cut Mare, and bring in Kaeding, Bironas, Rackers, Josh Brown...whoever is an FA. id dish out the couple extra bucks for either of them, and let someone else over-pay Mare.
