NEW YORK -- Chad Pennington has made a comeback from a comeback.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback won The Associated Press 2008 NFL Comeback Player of the Year award Wednesday, the second time in three years Pennington has received the honor. He also earned it in 2006 while with the New York Jets.

Pennington is the first player in the 11 seasons of the award to win it twice.

Nice honor, but he should get the MVP... this award given makes it unlikely he will receive both awards..
either way, the whole nation knows what pennington did, thats enough of a reward..
 
Doesn't that mean you have to had sucked once to win that award? And now you just suck less?

No, you could have been injured and come back the next season to dominate the position and win the award. Besides the Jets as a team weren't exactly world beaters in 07, you can't blame Chad for that teams performance. They didn't go out and spend 100 mil cause their QB was the problem.

Im glad he did. He deserved every bit of it both times he got it.
 
Congrats to Penny, he was basically a lock for this one. Next up for him is MVP.
 
Everyone forgets he played last year with two torn ligaments in his ankle, but everyone wants to say he just sucked. How can you ask a QB that needs his legs to throw to throw with one leg. When healthy, Chad is a top 10 QB in the NFL, period!!! Congrats Chad you earned it, and maybe you will get MVP too, maybe get the AFC championship MVP, how about the MVP at the big dance, Chaddy you have made me believe this year, thanks!

Chad had severe shoulder injuries in 2004 and 2005 which led to the award in 2006.

Chad had a moderately severe anke injury last year which led to him sucking.
 
I think ronnie and Porter had a chance at this award too, it was a gauranteed Phin for this award.
