I heard a while ago there's some sort of snafu with a lot of 3rd round picks. Egnew is a little too smart for his own good.

Could it be that the player drafted above or below him hasn't signed, and so the parameters for the offer to him aren't clear enough yet to one or both sides of the table?
I knew neither side is bound to table or accept an offer between what the guy above and below got, but that seems to be the practice so far, if what I read is true.
The linebacker above Egnew signed for the Jets, but he's going straight on the PUP. The next guy up Brandon Brooks hasn't signed yet. Dunno, might be it....

Egnew needs to sign his fricken contract and stop being so stupid. Let him hold out, then Les Brown can take his place.
I don't understand where people get off saying that someone needs to sign a contract. He's not obligated to do anything. He should be looking out for his best interest. Would I love to see all of our players in camp? Yes. But it's very plausible that his concerns over the contract are legitimate. I don't know the details, and I'm pretty sure you don't either.
