Daunte just on Point After

Said the fight between him and Saban was over an LSU - Florida game he wanted Florida and Saban wanted LSU :sidelol:

He seemed in good spirits, said he needed to put the team first and he understands now that Saban is just doing whats best for him and the team. Said he hopes to be good enough in a couple weeks that coach will evaluate him and let him play again.

Dont think him and coach are on the same page on that last one but who knows...

What do you mean him and the coach arent on the same page? Thats exactly what Saban has said?

Excellent news!

I was wondering if Daunte would make any press statements. Nice to hear him make light of the public argument he and Saban had. I'm sure all the constant kind words Saban had for him in his press conferences went a long way toward mending any wounds.

I think if Harrington does a good job then Daunte won't be back until next year.

My thoughts exactly ... if Joey has a big game this weekend, and we put a whuppin' on the Jets followed by Green Bay at home - ColdPooper is toast.

He can do all the radio he wants. Fans will say, Daunte who?

I was all for Daunte starting the whole season until I saw that Harrington had better chemistry with the offense and if he does a good job why put Daunte back in there to throw the offense off again. Think before you talk.

I meant with Saban saying he wanted to make Daunte an Emergency QB in his PC and Daunte saying he hopes to be playing in a couple weeks in his.

I didnt think there was much too it.Just a friendly college team r¡valry banter which has existed for ages among teamates although he played for UCF not the Gators....still understandable because of the Florida connection

Saban obviously admires CPep very much to the point where he has to protect him from himself.Thats natural too.Cpep is a tremendous competitor and will always think that he should start even when its not convenient for the team.Saban has to channel that confidence into a positive contribution.

He obviously wants to get back out there as soon as he can. He mentioned more than once that he cant wait to get this over with and get back ot there. I dont think Saban will let him out there again unless hes actually 100%

I am:
Daunte Long Term Supporter
Joey Temporary Supporter

I think he does. At least, it would seem so.

(standing up) Hi, my name is mike. I too am a long time Daunte Supporter and Joey Temporary supporter. (the circle of people speak) "HI MIKE". (and I sit down)

But there is a really long thread about how selfish Daunte is and how he doesnt care about the team? I'm going to trust the long thread sorry
