One thing people don't realize is that Merling played with an injury (sports hernia) in 2007. Wait until he's 100% again. He'll be even better. He was also rated higher then DE Lawrence Jackson who was drafted in Rd. 1 by Seattle.

Rodrique Wright was a potential first round pick at one point. WE thought it was a steal at 7... now not so much
