I have been a long time lurker, but I decided to let you know that I had a short conversation with John Beck today at a football camp in Provo and he had some interesting thoughts. I was at the camp with my friend, whose son played with, and is good friends with Beck. Jake Kuresa was a four year starter at right tackle with Beck while they were at BYU. After the camp and autographs with the kids, John came over and said hello to my friend, who then introduced me as a big Dolphins fan. I told him goodluck on the quarterback competetion and that I thought they would be better than what was being predicted. He said "We will be a lot better, I think at least 9-7 or maybe even 10-6." He was even more optimistic than I was. He said the new coaching staff has changed everything from last year and he can't wait to get started. He really did a nice job with the kids in the camp and I hope the Dolphins have as good a season as he predicts. And he also seemed as optimistic that he was going to get the starting nod this year. Take it for what it is worth.

Thanks for sharing! Love the work Beck has done this off-season and it sure is showing. He has a whole new confidence to him.

Did he say anything about stealing some guy from West Virginia's girlfriend?

Pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. Wish I was there. I met John Beck and Cameron Jensen (Linebacker for BYU, same class) prior to the draft while visiting BYU's Athletic center.

Great guys that they'd take time out for my family (we were the only others there on the field), and took pics with my son.

Wish him all the best. And glad to see he's got that confidence. We'll see how it unfolds in camp.
