Met Ronnie Brown Today....

Comparing schools where there is no track record to schools that have produced multiple bombs at a position really isn't appropriate. The issue is what reason there is for the bombs. It's kind of doubtful that it's a system problem (like it was with the Gators) since we're talking multiple coaches, but it could have something to do with factors like the field, the competition they face, or the sort of player who is attracted to the school.

I think this whole rush to get a RB in the #2 spot is silly. We could get a good back in the 3rd round. If the Phins were #10, then taking a back is acceptable. WE ARE #2...You take the BPA at #2, no matter what...We will never be in this position again. You don't take 1 of 2 iffy QBs, and you certainly don't take a RB when the draft is loaded with them.

You're not advocating BPA when you keep looking at the positions. Just as it is wrong to reach when a position is scarce, it is just as wrong to ignore a guy because you might get somebody who might be a good fill-in later. I absolutely agree with BPA no matter what, but we have to remember that BPA stands for Best Player Available.

That game was insane, and working with a buch of Michigan fans, I still hear about it. I got to hear about it today, in fact, slipped in their amidst a final four discussion.

Braylon Edwards is the real deal. He's simply incredible. He does ridiculous things regularly and in the clutch. And I can't stand Michigan.

lol sorry for you the Tarheels are gonna win too :)

Will you explain to me the fascination with Ronnie Brown? Because I don't get it. The guy did little in college, but he has great combine times...so what? How does that translate into a #2 pick?
Edwards and Williams are both NFL calibur players...all of the RBs in the draft have question marks on their heads. I don't understand why, if you have the #2 pick you would select a question mark.

Little in college? Are you serious? His Junior year, he had over a thousand yards, and was the main back, and this year he almost had a thousand yards (918 yards total) with 8 touchdowns while Carnell had 1180 and 11 touchdowns, but Ronnie had 50 less carries (they split carries..he was not the backup). So if you are going to say he did nothing in college, then please get your facts straight.

I'm a michigan fan, and without him we would of been trampled by Michigan State. It's going to suck next year w/o him, but Hart and Henne are gonna be even better next year, and Breaston and Avant are still there, so I'm not to worried. But it's still hard to replace a guy who could single handidly win a game, and could give you momentum in a split second.

Hell no. I go to Michigan State.
I watched him trampel the Spartans with 3 TDs in the last 5 minutes of the game.

....at an autogragh show in New Jersey....very nice kid ....lot of Miami fans were there....I asked him if he was going at # 2 and he said "thats the plan"...and he said it with confidence...now i don't know if that was self confidence or inside info confidence but to me it sounded like he's planing on going to Miami at #2......and to the guys who waited in line for the hour he was late thanks for the good conversation it was good talkng with some of you and getting your views on the fins...........

lack of confidence if you ask me...shouldn't everyones plan be to be drafted #1 overall in the draft???

I was there too.. I had the full sized auburn helmet and football, standing kinda close to the front (big guy with the uncle in the steelers hat) any way.. Yeah, Brown was real nice, and it wasn't his fault he was late, it was the plane.. Got delayed in Ft Lauderdale. He was also asked if he would sign a Miami mini helmet, and he said not yet, and don't do that to him...

Even if he doesn't know anything, it was nice to meet him, and we had a pretty good time in line.. There were more Miami fans in that line than there were anywhere in the place. Looked like Marino was gonna be doin a signing or something.. Good times, just hated the wait..

If you were a guy in his early 20s who knew that he got to do his dream job somewhere while making millions for it, wouldn't you want to complete the dream by living in one of the nation's party cities? I know I'd be confident my ticket would be punched there before I started hoping for a life in Cleveland or Detroit...

Nothing wrong with living in Cleveland. :D

Hey, I live in Richmond, VA -- it's not like we're a party city either. If you were a young single millionaire, tell me you wouldn't prefer Miami. ;)
