That is the future of Miami Dolphins football.
Meyer is not going back to college football. He has all types of NCAA violations on his resume that will soon catch up with him. He takes a few years off and returns to football. Not returning to the college game but instead trying his hand in the NFL. He gets his chance in Miami after the firing of Tony Sparano.
Now I'm not gonna predict the Dolphins to finish 0-16, but I have a gut feeling that this team is bad enough to earn themselves the #1 pick in the 2012 draft. "With the first pick in the 2012 draft, the Miami Dolphins select Andrew Luck, Quarterback, Stanford." - Roger Goodell
This is where Tom Clements comes in. He has been widely successful in developing one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL today, Aaron Rodgers. After he obtains another ring with the Packers (who i believe will repeat as super bowl champions) he will want to move on to a new project, that being Andrew Luck.
*Side-note: Even though Sparano gets the boot, I believe Ross gives Ireland another year to prove himself as a respectable GM without having Bill Parcells in his ear.
